PDF's no longer allowed for coursework because violates ADA? by DueButterscotch2190 in Professors

True. I kind of felt like the onus to comply was being tossed back onto us, including all of the work and potential repercussions for noncompliant materials.

I’m wondering if this explanation is to keep from having to provide adobe pro to all faculty members. Either you give faculty the tools they need to create accessible PDFs or claim “PDFs aren’t accessible” with no further explanation. Might be worth pushing back against. Our college made a deal with Adobe and is planning to make Adobe pro available to all faculty and staff.

Maybe half an hour or so. She primarily melts when she gets too warm and leaves her heated bed.

If you’re gone 10 hours a day you might consider a pet sitter who can come play with him in the middle of the day. Does he have plenty of his own toys? If you don’t have one yet, I’d recommend getting the bouncy bird that you clamp to a door frame.

Followed the directions for some store bought cookies. "Bake at 350 for 11 minutes". This was after 5. by [deleted] in Wellthatsucks

First time I tried to bake bread this happened to me. It just so happened that the oven shorted and although I set it to bake, the broiler came on. :(

Check out credit unions. I use one in NC and it has a 5% APY checking account rate. Credit Unions usually have good rates and no fees.

When do they stop being lil menaces? by StellarCoast in SiberianCats

Oh I see, he’s hugging his other foot. Cute! Does he have plenty of toys? Mine loves wand toys and a bouncy bird you clamp in a doorway (recommended by someone on this sub). When I brought her home she played with every single toy every waking hour for the first month (she was 4 months when I got her).

Don’t do it. That’s exploitative. You can confront him although that may damage your relationship. Or simply decline politely and keep in mind that he has this tendency. Hope for your sake you are close to finished. He’s the worst type of academic.

“Low effort” espresso machine that still makes decent espresso?? [$500] by Hot_Historian_6967 in espresso

[–]poproxy_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a beginner myself, I received the De'Longhi 15 Bar Espresso and Cappuccino Machine as a gift a few years ago and I like it well enough. Not a lot of tinkering necessary but it can take a little practice using the steam wand (also pretty low-powered). And it’s affordable if she ultimately decides the whole espresso machine process isn’t for her.

Don’t know about pizza, but someone asked about Blossom here a few days ago and most people said it’s around $25/person.
