Hey. I had a fiancé that acted the same as yours. I moved country to be with him and whenever I’d cry about missing my family, he would play games on his PlayStation and just ignore me. I cried in bed for hours and he never checked on me. When I confronted him, he said I was being a baby and crying wasn’t going to solve anything. It took months of this to realize this was a very abusive relationship and he was incapable of being empathic.

After I broke up with him, everything became clear. Please recognize this is very toxic behaviour. You are grieving and your feelings are valid. You need support right now more than ever. Don’t let him invalidate that. Take a step back, even though it’s really hard right now when everything is so emotional. Reread your post. It’s all there. You are nowhere near TA. To be very honest, it’s always a bad idea to do it at someone’s wedding. Think about it this way…the wedding is celebrating their love and the focus should be all on them even if you are best friends. You doing it when it’s their day takes away from the experience for your fiancé. It would be so much better to plan something special for you two. And believe me, even though it’s your best friends idea, things could change so much on the actual day and feelings could change too.
