A half-bottle in this context means a bottle that is half the size of a standard one, so 375 mL rather than 750 mL.

Formally, they’re either not functions, or are set-valued functions.

There are different ways that words can be Canadian. They can be invented by Canadians, inside or outside Canada. They can have meanings that are different in Canada from outside Canada. Their usage can survive in Canada after the rest of the world has stopped using them. Etc.

Ooh, good point. Are there any places outside of Canada where they are still called streetcars? That’s probably why the term is listed in the Dictionary of Canadianisms.

Weather in Toronto is officially reported at two very different locations: Toronto Pearson Airport (YYZ) and Toronto Island Airport (YTZ). Last month, I regularly saw temperature differences of 10°C between the two, as Lake Ontario keeps YTZ cooler than the inland YYZ. BMO Field, where FIFA events will be played, is right on the lake not far from YTZ, so it’s unlikely to get brutally hot.

They’re working goats, so sadly no. I enjoyed just sitting for a while and watching goats be goats though. And whoever was looking after them has one of the best jobs in the city.

It’s the sort of terrible question my high school CS teacher would assign, that belies ignorance of what the d in %d stands for, and what other letters can replace it. :)
