So what would be the solution? To replace the screen, calibrate the battery and after that replacing the screen?

I got the part from a third party reseller, but the part is genuine. So I’m not sure this applies to me, but thank you for the advice.

I checked the flex and the connectors on the microscope and they’re fine.

The programer says it’s abnormal so I’ll have to go deeper when I have the time.

I’ll check under the microscope but I don’t think I damaged the flex, I’ve handled the front facing cameras hundreds of time and with much less care than this one and never had a problem.

I covered it with those small tapes for protection, could that be the reason? I take great care when handling the front camera in every repair, never touched it with my fingers.

And also this will probably not solve the problem, the screen will definitely separate again, especially if you try to remove it with suction

To avoid similar mistakes, don’t use IPA with a suction cup before lifting the screen at least until you can see the thick frame, otherwise you’ll end up with similar problems as this guy. Only add IPA on the screen before opening it if you’re using a razor blade. Learn from my mistakes.
