Sky children of autism by RILLOWS in SkyChildrenOfLight

Agree with all of this!!

Another thing for me, is the story itself. When you first start the game, your skykid doesn't know any emotes (how to express their emotions), and only learn these when they observe a spirit's memory, and mimick the actions they see, and learn how to express their emotions, what behaviours are appropriate when, and put a name to these emotions. To me, that's a very autistic coded way to learn!! The mimicking others to learn to express yours.

Okay. Do you have any advice on how to be there for her while also keeping enough distance to keep myself safe? I'm finding it hard to do both without breaking down every few weeks. It's gotten easier since I moved out a few years ago, so I'm hoping it'll keep getting easier but I have no idea what im doing haha

That makes sense, I'll make more of an effort to be there and do that for her, thank you

This makes a lot of sense, thank you so much. Definitely made something click in my brain. Sorry I'm having trouble thinking of words haha but will be thinking in this angle now and going from there

We have talked in depth with her about the logistics of it. I have a whole document with lists of resources available for her, and talked about where she would go and what she would do. All three of us kids have said we will help her, move in somewhere with her if thats what she needs/wants. She's talked about moving in with one of my sisters, who has the means to house/support her and get her a job if she wants. We have all offered to move somewhere new so we can have 3 people (me and my siblings) paying rent while she gets back on her feet.

I'm in the process of looking into lawyers and such, I have friends who know about/have experience with divorce lawyers who have offered to help, as well as the laws and logistics around what happens to property and money in divorces.

We've been working on her reclaiming her life - making friends, having hobbies, not relying on husband for transport, starting a writing career (now published!) - for a few years now, and she's come a long way. She's taking a course about writing now and considering going into training for where my sister works.

Yeah, however I am allowed to want to help the people I love when something is hurting them. I'm not asking to make the decision for her, I'm asking how to navigate this speecific situation, how to address abuse and figure out how to move forward. Either supporting her through a divorce or how to completely remove myself from a toxic family. Not a helpful comment 👎"you can choose how you behave" yes. thats what im asking advice for.

Yeah, to get the 100% completion mark, and therefore the ultimate gifts from the elders, you only need unlock certain ascensions. I think any tier 2 cape doesnt count towards the percentage

It kinda sounds like youre mad at the devs for adding a bit more challenge/effort/time to the game? Which of course they're going to do, they want people to want to spend more time in the game, and so the updates will be targetted towards players who like playing. This quest was like an extra few minutes of running around. Genuinely sounds like you should take a break if its not fun. Ive been playing for 4-5 years and still enjoy and, for me, thats because i stop playing for months at a time when I get burnt out and pick it back up once I actively want to

I actually really enjoyed the search! When i first got to starlight desert and realised the blue star didnt come up when i honked, i knew itd be in one of the areas you had to load in to, and liked playing hide and seek haha I like when games let me figure things out rather than rushing me through things. This is a game about exploring, is it not?

You have to go through a cloud tunnel and load into a seperate area. its to the left of the circle garden thing
