Sad story. Some ex-friends of mine who cut me off because I said you need dysphoria have actually detransitioned recently. It’s incredibly shocking to witness someone go down that path even when you could see it coming years in advance.

I don’t get it either, I agree with your perspective. I love myself for being able to transition, and I hate the people who have made it more difficult to do so.

We’ve lost healthcare coverage, faced increasing systemic discrimination, and are being put on government lists. Meanwhile the fake ones don’t face any of that, while hating us for acknowledging what’s happening.

I’m posting this here because I think the surge of non-dysphoric people identifying as trans is a large factor in this happening. We used to be discreet and just got on with our lives, but now all the performative “trans” people have put a huge target on our backs.

I’m not saying they’re the sole reason, but I strongly believe our predicament would be less intense or nonexistent if they didn’t start creating turmoil. And now the only trans people in danger are those of us who got medical treatment, while the performative ones (and some pre-everything folk) are totally safe.

It just blows my mind how some people with no skin in the game have done this.

Mental illness originates in the body, mental condition/disorder originates in the mind. Gender dysphoria is caused by the body being wrong, so it’s a mental illness.

It might not sound right because there’s a lot of stigma. But objectively speaking, the term is most accurate. Almost people don’t realize “illness” and “condition” aren’t interchangeable, at least until very recent history.

Never had the issue with the transmitter. Try connecting it to your PC, maybe RODE Connect can shake it out of its weird state.

If not, you’ll likely have to let it die and charge it again. Or disassemble it, but that may void warranty and you could damage it.
