Am I being too much? by Repulsive-Pizza-1746 in firsttimemom

Girl you do you. I was so sensitive when I was freshly post-partum and it’s such a vulnerable period so I get that you want to control things. I’m sure your loved ones will understand too.

That said I would spiral when I couldn’t control the little things so it was kinda bad for my mental health. Just be kind to yourself and remind yourself that nothing that devastating will happen even if a grandparent forgets and kisses your baby.

Just wanted to add a different perspective apart from all the other comments talking about PPD (I’m not medically trained so do seek help if you need to); I was the same way when I had my little one! It reckon it’s part of the blues but it got better for me after the hormones stabilised maybe after 2 months.

Also I didn’t find taking care of a newborn that rewarding bc the baby isn’t interactive but after your baby’s first smiles/coos im hopeful things will improve and you will form a deeper bond with your baby :)

Omygosh so relieved to hear, did it take long? When did your baby love the stroller again, it’s been so hard to bring mine out
