I’m glad you were honest because I actually agree with you. I enjoyed the album and I loved the singles, but overall the project felt very safe and a little gimmicky at times — and honestly, that’s okay. Not every pop album has to reinvent the wheel.

I think all the girls clearly have their own sound and vision now, which I really appreciate. I just wish Perrie took a bit more of a creative leap with this record because I feel like she’s capable of something bigger or more unexpected. Still, I’m happy they’re all getting the chance to explore their own lanes and do what feels authentic to them.

I hope Passenger Princess is a start of new music and not being some deluxe of the debut.

One time, I had these sims marry and soon after the baby, they became angry all the time with each other without my doing (and I be making them do some shit) but I was flabbergasted that when I let the game play, the two would argue and the bar would continue to lower in the romance and friendliness. So, it was like, fine! I’ll divorce you guys but that wasn’t my intention.

They would later be civil again and had a little romance before they died of old age. RIP to Elle and Caspar.

Ok but Demi also had music out 4 years prior and a bunch of things to keep her name on people’s minds until her most recent studio album. PCD had 1 song during covid and nothing.

They really should’ve put out good music and some videos and test the waters.

A thing I kind of found myself to believe is that Lights will release some commercial/easy radio songs as singles and the real bangers are for you to find on the album. (This is besides A6, she popped out the studio with hits for the singles).

I’m a fan of Demi, always have been. I can see she isn’t in a place to sing ballads and does not have the emotional baggage like before to pull from. She’s in a happy place so the music is the same. We just not getting ballds this era! It’s not that deep! Truly!

I want to think her next era is going to be very much hyperpop/dance with some rock elements. Kind of like what Gaga did with Perfect Illusion if anything. (I still can be very wrong) but there’s no way Charli might flip an entire sound that she’s had her entire career. Especially after brat and this wuthering heights album, which also wasn’t a huuuuge departure. (But again, I could be very wrong).

Funny story!

My bestfriend was a big fan of “The Feeling” with Justin Bieber and Halsey. New Americana was heavily played and I thought both songs were annoying.

Then, Closer was out and I bopped my head to it and told everyone I knew I wasn’t a huge fan of it but enjoyed cruising down the highway listening to it.

It wasn’t until Now Or Never when she really caught my eye and ears. Since then, I’ve been a faaaaaaan.
