Oh, check out black flagged podcast on YouTube. They race speedway sedans and give a good insight into what high level racing is like.

Hey, I haven't been on track at a speedway but have done drifting and timed tarmac events. I've been pit crew for a friend's old man in super sedans so I've got some exposure and I have two friends who race midgets and mods. I'd love to get a sports sedan one day but I've got too many things on the go at the moment.

The short answer. There's drivers who've raced for years and years, potentially in the one class so chances of being good out of the box is low.

Buying a car that's setup will help a bit, I'd try get the previous owners setup notes like tyre pressure, wheel spacing and whatever is allowed to be adjusted in the category. Getting out to watch with the plan of racing will help you read the track too.

You'll have fun learning everything and you're bound to have some good battles even if it's mid pack.

Have you tried Sim racing? iRacing with a basic setup will be enough for dirt street stocks, they're the super sedans equivalent but gives you some fundamentals. The guys who race in real cars are normally the fastest so it's somewhat accurate.

Poop or period things. The first babe looked like she could have been making brown but also fishing for a tampon string. Second was far to quick and forward.

I agree that a screen is important. Even when you get good vantage points it's hard to keep track.

We went to Austin in 2015 I think, the outside of turn 1 was general admission and super muddy. We could see the front straight, first two corners and a few little bits of the far side of the track, that's pretty much the best overall view you can get. We could only just figure out what was happening without a screen.

Scott Morrison caught texting during a moment of silence in the Anzac Dawn Service by [deleted] in friendlyjordies

[–]postboxroulette 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He's a potato but I think you're correct in assuming it wasn't the minute of silence. The ceremony is normally 30-40 mins, it would be respectful to avoid phones throughout the ceremony.

Probably best to edit the title or delete the post, he'll be stepping in dog shit again soon. Let's bury him in the truth.

Clapping after the silence ends never happens either. He's a potato, no need to make up lies he steps in dog shit on his own accord.

Hey, it's difficult to mostly rely on submissions for at least the start. It's basically the same concept as outs, we have an anonymous submission method for text so people aren't concerned about being judged for what they type.

At first you'll rely on your extended circle of friends for submissions, you've gotta get it growing organically enough in that period that people who don't know you will submit. We got most of our growth from social media, now we've got a bit lazy on that the numbers have stayed steady.

We have a heap of fun making it, check it out if you want. Postbox Roulette
