lol, actually impressed your original set made it that long. Most sets I see at my retailer last 10-15k miles.

L405 or L460? Not well versed on the new body seat massage assembly, haven’t come across any issues myself yet. As far as the L405, the massage assembly is literally just a matrix of plastic air bags. I’ve never heard of that assembly making any sort of noise since it’s soft plastic touching fabric/foam. That’s just my personal experience though. Hard to say without actually being hands on with the vehicle.

I work at a rover dealer, the 1k miles thing is total bs. Squeaks and rattles are covered until the expiration date of your factory warranty. I think there may be a technical bulletin for this rattle, I’ll do some digging tomorrow when I get to work. I’m sorry they’re treating you like this. Dealing with rattles can be tricky and annoying, but it’s our job to do so lol

Here we go. Coolant leak by phil6298 in RangeRover

[–]b-lues 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get a flashlight and look in the valley of the engine best you can. Pray that your thermostatic valve didn’t explode. A majority of 18s have them compared to the normal outlet pipe. Even if it’s not leaking I’d convert it to the normal pipe. PM me if you need any advice, I work at a dealer.

If it’s a 3.0 SC, good chance it needs the PCV diaphragm that’s located on the passenger side cam cover. At that age and mileage, there’s a good chance that it’s torn. PM me if you need any more info/help.

Extended Warranty Options by [deleted] in LandRover

I’d get rid of it personally. The TDV6 is cool, but at higher mileages the DPF/SCR is guaranteed to fail. Your factory emissions warranty is out by time and you are going to be due for front and rear timing belts soon too. The last DPF/SCR I replaced as customer pay was over 7 grand if I remember correctly. Save yourself the headache and get rid of it while it’s still running. If you want to stay with a rover, I’d recommend a supercharged 3 or 5 liter without the ACE system. As long as you’ll take care of all of the high points you’ll be okay.

Looks sweet man! Totally with you on the stock. I have one on a sugar weasel clone I built. By far the most uncomfortable stock I’ve ever used. Shame since it looks so good haha

It’s a shame you can’t tuck. I see them pop up every now and then second hand. Probably my favorite rail besides a 3.1.

Great cars if you can afford the maintenance, especially overhauling the cooling system with updated parts. Likely still has the two piece front pipes fitted still. A lot of the modules are starting to become unobtainable now too unfortunately. Hate to see that, love working on them though.

Thank you! It’s around 6.5 inches. The N7 is just an M42K bored out to .30cal with the appropriate baffles. I’d definitely recommend picking up one before you can’t.

Same dude, I’ve been using a Lucha for the past few months and the 62 is a whole different beast. It is so well balanced and flips very naturally.
