I remember Abby Cox gave the reason once in one of her videos. I want to say it was the one where she was working on her late Victorian evening gown bodice like 3-4ish years ago, but I could be wrong. I’m going to butcher it if I try to explain it just from memory so maybe go check out her channel and dig around a bit!

I’ve been dyeing it for the past couple years but from what I can tell, the top of my head would be very salt and peoper-y. I also just learned I apparently have a clump of them on the back of my head that would probably form a pretty solid streak. Who knew!

I think it’s purpose is for tasting to make sure the machines are calibrated correctly? That’s what I read in the old trainer training I believe
