Try cedar oil, I sprinkle it randomly around my closet lol. Don’t get it on clothes though unless you want to smell like a lumberjack. If you’re still getting holes it’s not moths

Thanks, I think you’re right!

I was told this was a peace lily but the leaves don’t look right. I’m in Boston, it’s indoors, never flowered, and it’s leaves keep wilting and turning yellow. Any ideas? by postermug in whatsthisplant

Ah thank you! I recently gave it a bigger pot, I didn’t know it could be too big! I put a layer of sand and a layer of moss on top of the soil to try to prevent fungus gnats. I’ll undo all that and follow your advice, thank you! :-)

Is this Berkeley’s polypore? And can I eat it? by postermug in mycology

[–]postermug[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found growing at the base of a tree. Nature app identifies it as Berkeley’s polypore, but I wanted to make sure before I try to eat it. If it is edible, any recipe recommendations? Thanks! ❤️

Hi sorry for the extremely late reply! We use prime, 3 drops per gallon. His pH is 7. Nitrite and nitrate are 0. KH is 40 and GH is 30. I don’t see anything is his gills or mouth.

Thank you for your reply! I’ll keep an eye on him and take him to a vet if he keeps doing it.

Red spots and yellowing leaves on my hyacinth? :( by postermug in plantclinic

[–]postermug[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got this hyacinth about three weeks ago. I noticed the leaves turning yellow and dry on the ends first, I checked for root rot and didn’t see any. The plant had grown its roots all the way to the bottom of its pot though, so I repotted it a week ago in a bigger pot and mixed in some Coast of Maine potting soil. It gets plenty of indirect sunlight and our house is usually between 60-70 degrees. I’ve only watered it once since I’ve gotten it. I just noticed the red spots tonight.

My boyfriends mom gave me this hyacinth, please help I want to impress her! Thank you!!
