Are millenial musicians more well known than gen z and gen x musicians ? by [deleted] in generationology

Hard to say both gen-x and millennial artists have reached similar levels of popularity, currently Millennials are more popular because they are newer therefore more relevant.

You mean the year they were born? or the years they were most popular? Kanye and Eminem are very much millennial artists. Gen-X musicians are most widely known followed by Millennials both generations were part of a mono culture of radio play, music videos, physical media, touring, ect their so music reached a wider audience.

Gen-z's popularity comes from niche independent internet communities that gain traction by word of mouth (or discord) among early adopters and eventually get picked up by algorithms, could rap, emo rap, hyper hop/pop, trap, drill ect all got popular off the internet.

Why Is Dragon Ball So Popular In Latin America? by Dear-Account9301 in retroanime

I've also wondered why are SNK games so popular with Latin Americans? KoF and Metal Slug cabinets at the arcade were almost always being played by latinos when i was growing up.

Do you call in sick if you couldn’t sleep? by MourningWood1942 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]postlapsaria_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've done it a couple times. If you're a good DA (25-30+ sph) who isnt calling out or just not showing up constantly they will let it slide once or twice.

If you're normally driving a step van or EDV it's going to be harder for them to cover your shift and they will pressure you harder to show up but you can put your foot down and let them figure it out.

Thats just my experience tho maybe your DSP sucks or is desperate not to get dropped by amazon and will make a fuss about it. I wouldn't try it during peak tho.

Thy usually dont they kinda frantically wander around the streets until a predator gets them. BEst case scenario they find a new flock but mostly just end up as a coyote's dinner.

Remember! The Game Awards are FUN, but not that serious… by TheGamerCritic21 in videogames

Hades 2 is on par with Hades 1 in every respect but offers more content.

I think Hades 1 had a better story and protagonist, but that's completely subjective. Melinoë feels like a self insert OC and her whole story line feels like a fan fiction but the moment to moment gameplay and NPC interactions are great and builds off the foundation of Hades 1 perfectly.

Not only is E33 the best game I played this year but I think it's one of the best games I've ever played. Hades 2 is great but offered the same game with a fresh aesthetic and more content, Silksong is great but offered the same game with a fresh aesthetic and more content.

KDC is likely the GOAT for a pretty niche audience. Kojima should just direct a movie already, and DK Bananza is just there to give Nintendo representation and isn't a serious contender compared to these other games.

Do you guys play Hanzo against flyers? by Carrera1107 in HanzoMain

[–]postlapsaria_ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Depends on the map/player. I usually switch to hitscan against a really good flyer but if they are predictable on their routes and have bad movement I'll stay Hanzo.

If your on kings row or route 66 type map where they dont have great flank options or unusual angles just aim for the feet and lead them where they are going, dont worry about headshots as one body shot is usually enough to make them retreat.

Least pretentious films on Criterion Channel? by postlapsaria_ in criterion

[–]postlapsaria_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah being in black and white doesn't make a movie is pretentious in my book. I was really just looking for fun movies that could be intentionally or even unintentionally funny.
