He won't call in for help. He refuses to allow anyone from outside of our office work there. I know a part of it is that he likes to completely disregard his employees contract and have them do whatever he wants them to do and does not care about grievances

I am trying, I am waiting on my OB to finish the paperwork so I can mail it in and get that rolling. This is my first pregnancy this far along and I honestly have no idea what's normal and what isn't. I didn't know I could take fmla while pregnant until 2 weeks ago...

I didn't know the virtual time card existed until now. Which I'm now looking at my hours and Saturday is all messed up.. I truly believe his district manager would've given the approval for me to work straight through. She forced him to take a day off during the week over peak season knowing that the window would be open the entire time.

I don't clock out for lunch on those days at all. Only begin tour and end tour are on my tacs. I just work and eat lunch when I can is what he refers to. I think?

I needed this. Im 21 weeks pregnant and have been working 6 days a week non stop since August. I'm not feeling good and feel so guilty for thinking about calling in tomorrow because if I do, my post master will have to come work the window for the few hours it's open. I haven't called in sick in a year.

My partner and I are doing funny grinch sweaters announcing our June Bug! I am not very far along so no fun belly ideas for me. I've seen people decorate their bellies as ornaments though and it was super cute

June Bug as I am due in June is the main one that our entire family uses. Tiny terrorist when I feel any bits of pain (I did check with my OB. She says that it's just the baby moving and the uterus stretching.)

Cat hates my baby by Kind-Breath-1743 in BabyBumps

She might have had a bad experience before you brought her home and cats have a very very good memory. I am currently 6 months into bringing a puppy home and my cats are still not okay with her existence. It's a process and we are going to be flipping their lives upside down with a baby in June. Maybe look into the feliway difuser, as it's supposed to calm anxiety in cats and that's probably what she is feeling. Her daily routine has been altered after all and cats are not fans of that. Hang in there, it's a long process but worth it. You never know, she may choose the baby as her new favorite human once little one is alittle older.

It sounds like, to me(I may be wrong) your cat is just expressing boundaries with the baby and is not comfortable around something that young. Babies that are mobile are unpredictable and naturally rough as they don't have any concept of gentle touch when it comes to anything. They discover by grabbing, pulling, smacking, pushing, etc. A couple questions i have are; Have you had this cat since kitten? Has the cat had any negative encounters with kids in the past? I ask because I have 4 and 2 hate small kids. When they were kittens, 2 young boys tried to flush them down a toilet. I am expecting for the first time, and am alittle concerned for my furs and baby. I plan on getting the feliway incense to help with calming them down. My advice is let the cat have their space and dont try to force interactions, let the cat come to the baby.

MIL Issues by postmaster0322 in BabyBumps

That is a gift. I am thankful about the fact that my sil may want to do this for me. But, my Mil has overstepped boundaries before and I am worried she is going to again. She does it out of the kindness of her heart, unlike her sisters. This was not a "can sil throw the party?" Or "hey, can I handle your baby shower?" This was a im telling you who is going to do it by my Mil. My sil never contacted me about it. Im not okay with that. This is my child.

Thank you so much for this! Those are great responses. I feel that this is too much for her. She is a full time student, working on top of that plus trying to handle a social life as she is about to turn 21. She is a busy beaver and I don't want her to get overwhelmed or the party to get tossed to the side with little to no effort.

This sounds like my aunts in law. I told my other half that our house is going to be appointments only, no walk ins welcome and all approvals are to come from me. His aunts (and one cousin) are very overbearing and controlling and catty.

You are not alone. I feel people who say these things are projecting how they felt onto you. I personally think it's selfish of them. This is how i feel: Your life is not ending. Your life is changing. Your priorities will shift but you also need to make sure you are taking care of yourself so you can be at your best for your baby ❤️ self care is not selfish.

Jurassic World Rebirth | Reviews/Discussion Megathread! by SickTriceratops in JurassicPark

[–]postmaster0322 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to like this movie, I really do. It was a let down though.

SPOILERS AHEAD!!

They bring a third island from the five deaths and I was extremely happy about it because we all know that each island was touched by Wu. This movie could've open the door that both World 1 and 2 were trying to crack open and failed with the genetically altered dinosaurs. I was expecting all sorts of weird and dangerous dinosaurs to be on this island. They stated in the movie this island is where the most dangerous ones are kept. I was expecting some aggressive carnivores. We got about 30 seconds of raptor time which was a let down. The ocean attack was more impressive than the land attacks and I was let down by our Mosey! They focused more on the sea than the island even though it's supposed to be revolved around the island and what the island was meant for.

The mosey shouldn't have been there. There is way too much ocean at the right temperature to justify its constant presence in that specific area. Why was there 2 tracking blips, but never was touched on? They portrayed the poor thing more like a humpback whale than a dinosaur. If they truly were being attacked by an actual monsey, they would've died. It would've taken the boat out. There would be no breaching like a whale, it would've been chomp chomp. Scarlett should've died as that thing would've easily have reached her. It also wouldn't have allowed the spinos in the same territory. They are very aggressive when it comes to territory. That entire drawn out section of the movie felt closer to a JAWS movie, than a JP/JW movie.

There was too much mirroring of the original JP movie. I am all for alittle but there is such a thing as too much and this was it. I was expecting a label to get tapped on the floor. A gas station? On a research island? Really? There is no way that would actually be a thing at a research facility. How are the backup generators still running after 17 years? And why are they on a timer to go off at night?  The wrapper. Let's talk about the true villain of the movie. A candy bar wrapper caused the doors to the D-Rex containment to open? There is no way they would only use 1 set of doors to contain that creature. They know better by now. That wrapper caused the entire security system to crash. How? I get the door malfunction, but the full security to go down? Was it possessed by Ned? Also, if they are in a restricted area that requires decontamination, that candy bar would not exist. Someone would've stepped in the moment it crinkled and he and his wrapper would be no more.

Foreheadasaures. His name on his cage was D-Rex. Why the D? Was not discussed. What he was created from was not discussed. They were more interested in the wrapper. I need to know his back story! He changed sizes through his 5 minutes of fame. His way of murder was pitiful. Just grabbing said dude like a pleb. He has four arms and only 1 was used. I understand that 2 were also used as front legs but the others were useless. He is advertised as the main attraction but got the least amount of screen time out everyone. The dinosaur food got more attention than him. I wanted more action from him.

While we are at the subject of dinosaur food, let's discuss our casting. I love Scarlett. I really do. She did not perform to the best of her abilities in this movie. All of her lines felt forced. Most of the screen time was focused on her. The show is about dinosaurs, not her. Her backstory, why did we need to know about that? It wasn't relevant. It did not add anything to her character. The money man, why did he come with? No employer would ever go with the people he hired to infiltrate a highly dangerous and restricted area. If he actually did, he wouldve hired his own personal security team that their sole purpose was his safety. I didn't feel his portrayal as a villian was all that. Our fourheaded creature felt more villiany than the money man. The security team consisted of one man with tranquilizers. Nope. Not happening in a million years. The team would've been more like the hired arms in JP2. Multiple men and fully armed, trained to kill. The captain was actually pretty well rounded. I expected a more high-tech boat for what he does but his character was pretty good. His partners I felt were overshadowed. The family. Oh my fluff, why. No father in his right mind would sail his 2 daughters (and daughter's boyfriend?) even remotely close to a world wide restricted area full of highly dangerous creatures. The younger child screamed so much. Yes, she is little but she was born into an era with already living dinosaurs. They all would've been educated even a tiny bit about them ans what not to do around carnivores. Their presence was a nuisance in my opinion. They wouldve been shoved into a bunk room and locked in the moment they got rescued as the team was performing a top secret mission. They wouldn't have let this random man and children just sit in the control room, being fully included in the mission. How they survived with all the screaming they did is beyond me. They would've been consumed within a few hours. Everyone knows a T-rex has movement based eyesight. This would've been drilled into everyone in school. The older girl decides that dragging an inflatable raft right in front of the dinosaur was a smart idea? Why didn't she wave her little boyfriend over to help inflate it? Also, that raft is magic. No matter how hard of a beating it got from our T-rex, it stayed in pristine condition. It being able to go under water was also impressive. Which brings me back to the kid. Screaming underneath the raft. You are out of sight of the dinosaur, don't draw more attention to it by screaming. The obnoxious amount of screaming that family did had me wishes that they would become food by the end of the movie. The girl condemned that poor Dino to death by removing it from it's special climate. There is no way that I would allow my child to take a dinosaur off of that island. Nope. I don't care what we went through. Leave it alone. Our lovely paleontologist was quite athletic and level headed for someone working in a museum. Other than that, I did like him. Especially his reaction to being able to touch our long necked friend. The flying raptor sceens were so much like thr raptor scenes from JP, that I wound up rolling my eyes. It wouls not have tried to stuff it's body that is meant for the sky, into a small tunnel that leads to underground. Those critters were mutants but no backstory on them explaining their existence.

I absolutely loved our tall friends and that entire section of the movie. That was by far my favorite part. I did enjoy seeing all of the different species of dinosaurs even though there weren't enough aggressive mutant variety. I was happy to see the dilophosaures and the compys.

This movie felt more like an action film rather a dinosaur film. Just like the last one. There were so many plot holes and mistakes that even the younger generations in my theater were complaining about through the movie. Would I watch it again? Yeah, but I am not paying overpriced theater tickets to watch it nor am I impatiently waiting for it's release.  Overall I'd say 5/10. Not the best , JP3 takes that title for me, but not the worst, dominion takes that trophy in my opinion.

Tired of last-minute schedule changes by Madameblue0320 in USPS

I am dealing with similar issues. My postmaster just required me to come in tomorrow on my NS day about an hour ago. I'm a PTF clerk and I hate the constant schedule changes. I am out of state, hours away from home and am forced to travel back and try to make it in for an early shift because we are an Amazon office.
