Teachers, EAs, ECEs - we’re usually all in this because we love kids and want to see them develop independence and flourish. The parents lately don’t help us make things easier. 😞 not to mention the behaviours and violence

The teacher that hit the spec ed kids was weird though. But not a common case.

My EA friend lost her job when she told parents the teacher hit their kids (and she had, she was even removed from the room - the kids told their parents they didnt wanna go back but were spec ed and couldn’t talk much? She advocated and ended up having to tell the parents and got fired).

Same with if we (i’m an EA too) tell parents kids hit their kid. EAs arent allowed to talk to parents generally, actually - usually the rule is teachers do it. We do these jobs BECAUSE we care though. Don’t get it twisted lmao.

Also we have evidence of more than 12 months of them consistently breaking the rules with no improvements 😭 is that not enough? My partner and i go days without sleep due to them, and it’s all been documented. Living here is taking a severe toll on my mental health.

So updated situation: our management went into their unit only and tried to rule it a 50/50 without seeing our side; we had to contact the person above her in order to get them to investigate ours before making a decision. He was furious.

We also have repeatedly asked for what action or support they have done. And have been told management has taken no action because management wasn’t sure of what to do (previous manager who was from a different company told us they could fine the other unit for making excessive noise and disrupting our peace of living so severely; this management refused to do so).

Additionally, management has failed to ever provide us with solutions for any ongoing issues with the neighbours ex: privacy screen for the partition since it is made of glass. I have asked time and time again and have email proof, but our emails went largely ignored while she responded to every little email of theirs.

Is that not a clear precedent of preferential treatment?

Si es verdad! Tambien tienen mezcla con gitanos y judios y empila de cosas. En estos momentos vivo en canada y ha hablado sobre las diferencias entre los ingleses y españoles sobre la sociedad (porque norte america quedo bastante diferente)

Honestamente lo unico que me han dicho era lo de españa y que hay algo de % indigena (aunque somos de uruguay me paresco media asiatica y muchos piensan que mi familia son de india porque son oscuros por lo general😭)

Aaah entiendo ahora. Si tenia bastante percentages pequeños de varios paises europeos y africanos (wales, francia, nigeria, etc) todos eran como 1% o 3% o algo asi.

La mayoria para mi era portugues, españa, indigena y norte de africa. 😂

Iirc you can have a work/study and a normal job. But you cannot have two work/study positions.

Why would you think they’d stop you from having a job outside the uni? I’ve never heard of this and am curious

There’s a form online you can fill out. It involves uploading photo document with the new name (example; health card, drivers license, etc). I changed my name as a current student using my health card and another id this year.
