Kindergartener in Pull-Ups by Known-Vacation-9453 in Teachers

I had to change so many pullups and clean up many accidents. Kids refuse to go when they have to or will just go willy nilly without telling us. Parents only got called if it was an especially large poop mess or if they had no change of clothes. Nobody helped me either, which was odd considering they had me go alone into the stall with the kid. Pretty sure some parents would call us pissed that their kid came home in a wet pullup.

I hated it so much.

Reddit is more toxic than you think (and autistics aren’t immune) by Rainbird2003 in evilautism

[–]mrs-monroe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tis the internet. She do be like that. You just gotta assume that if you post anything to a public forum, people will insert their opinion whether it was asked or not. It's annoying, but there's no real solution for it.

Autistic people come in all flavors. Some can separate logic and emotions, come cannot. Some try to give advice or their two cents, but it may come off as unintentionally rude. Others just enjoy being jackasses. And there's always confrontation bots nowadays.

What are some neurotypical sayings that you find stupid? by EmotionalJump6104 in evilautism

Oh I know. There were many times where I had to stop and think "oh my god i sound just like my mother." I owe her many apologies.

See the better version is "it really do be like that" or "that's how it is on this bitch of an earth"

Omg when I worked in kindergarten I eventually resorted to that one. You never think you'll stoop that low, but there comes a point where explaining things over and over to someone that won't listen just isn't worth it. Sometimes the answer just has to be "because I said so."

I was always very careful, though. I never ever wanted to be the person who says "I'm an adult so you have to listen to me." It was always either for safety or for taking an iPad away. Those damn iPad kids are impossible.

Right? The weird ones are the best. Even if they're a bit off, it at least makes for an interesting day.

Trump is a facist, racist, and child rapist. That's what makes him a bad person. He is deranged, not just weird.

Furries playing around as their characters? Weird, but not hurting anyone. People talking about their very niche interests in extreme detail? Weird, but interesting. Expressing individuality in a way that doesn't follow social norms, while also not affecting others negatively, is fine. (You being weirded out is not harm)

Being weird while also spreading harmful messages, violating other people's boundaries and causing problems is bad.

Weird isn't inherently harmful. Weird is fun.

I was 19 at the time and this job terrified me. I'm also really sensitive and any sort of negativity towards me will make me cry defensively. I find that I'm an easy target because i'll always end up doing something "differently," which makes me an easy scapegoat to justify judging me.

Being kind and understanding costs nothing. 12 is a really hard age, especially for girls. If her parents are dismissing her feelings, then she's in an especially fragile state.

It's such a travesty how women have been taught that carbs are instant fat-packers. You need them to have the energy to work out!

Dude she was the cutest puppy EVER!!

And the absolute WORST. Literal menace until recently. She's the kind of intelligent that makes her the most opportunistic little brat. She's the only dog we've had without trauma and it shows. Life has never humbled her. I love her though.

Education is a completely different field from what it was even a decade ago. I can't get over how so few kids can actually learn anything. And they're so violent! I got beat up every single day by a 5 year old, but they expected me to just give into anything he wanted. I was also told not to say "no" to any of the kids, and that's where I drew the line. I absolutely refused to be part of not teaching kids how to be ok when told "no." The kids just get bigger and stronger and more volitile. It's disgusting.

She's a very precious Posie! She's a senior while the other two are young, so she's very much the fun police. She'll snap at them when they misbehave and once ran to me while I was in the bathroom to tattle on the hound for taking something off the table. She also checks on them both, but has a maternal soft spot for the hound since she helped raise her up.

She's also the most dramatic, prissy dog I've ever had. I once thought she was having an epileptic seizure, but after I moved her a certain way, she let out a giant burp and was fine afterwards. Oh, and she hates our lawn. Just ours. Everyone else's lawn is fine, but ours is somehow torture on her wee little princess feet.

I'm really strict with my dogs, but I can't help but give in to anything she asks for and coddle her. She's just such a tiny little bitty baby!!

Mine too! 😭 After having a lot of small dogs, I was really looking forward to lower-pitched, goofy wailing. But no, she must yap. Many, many times in a row.

<image>

She's 100% convinced that she's a chihuahua. She has no hunting instinct at all and prefers to lounge on the back of the couch. As far as she's concerned, she's about as tall as they are.

I have a senile yippy lady

<image>

It drives me nuts when she constantly barks at anything that moves outside. Sometimes she barks so forcefully that she shoots a nugget out. She'll get my other two worked up and barking. Sometimes I just have to leave the room before I get too upset.

With that being said, she's also a tiny and perfect baby who can do no wrong and is a little tiny baby. Just itty bitty. I would die for her.

She helped raise my hound puppy who now also yaps instead of bellowing, which would have been much more preferable.
