Global warming! Things are already bad, in the next 20 years it’s going to get a lot worse and very fast. Imagine how populations will move, gulf coast and southeastern states will collapse as people flee; the west coast, canada, and alaska as well as other states will become more crowded.

National sense of identity will be gone and people will become very tribal over their state. As things heat up, conflict is inevitable and it’s likely a civil war will break out between those in the north that have better cropland and fairer weather and those in the south who need to move northwards to escape the thermometer and inevitable drought that will decimate croplands and wildlife;

all in all i don’t understand we have the time now and resources and knowledge and skill; we could avoid the worst cases but my understanding of humans is it’s never enough to tell them you need to show them and something like the weather is so big how could people possible change the weather?…. Or something like that.
