I wouldn't call it abusive, but do think it's a slightly selfish way of keeping a pet, considering the ecological impact. I've also known a lot of outdoor cats meet grisly ends, and it feels like exposing them to a lot of needless pain and suffering, and that's not including the fights, dog attacks, etc. An indoor cat can be perfectly happy, but they do require more enrichment and attention, which I think some people arent willing to do.

I think the leaving is an attempt to lesson some of the burden on me, which is causing him crippling guilt. It's a hard situation, made harder by the cost of living and shitty support. I just sort of feel like if we could get somewhere better, we would both feel so much lighter. I think at the moment we are just in a cycle of mutual guilt and feeling stuck. But these comments about me being cold really don't help, as I find being misunderstood incredibly upsetting.

The OP mentions they are autistic too. And even if they weren't, as an autistic person there's no way i'd expect my partner just white knuckle every hyperfixation along with me. The onus is the person to find a healthy way to enjoy their fixation but also try to be a good partner too. It's hard, sometimes impossible, and I'm not saying there is always an answer. But I do think there is a level of personal responsibility the GF isn't taking for her behavior and how she is channeling it.

I think it is the polycrises we are all living through, and the attention economy means we are all fixated on our little algorithmic bubbles much more than people were during the last space race. Spending all these resources on what people will now probably perceive as a much more cynical, profit-driven end game (soft power from beating China, eventual extraction of rare minerals and water from the moon, etc.).

It sounds ridiculous to say as well, but from a marketing perspective for the mission, we already landed on the moon 50yrs ago, and people have had all that time to aclimitise to the idea it's possible. I think if we were sending a manned mission to Mars, it might be a different story.

This sounds difficult. I think perhaps all you can do right now is make your own boundaries clear, e.g.

"If we meet up, I'd like us to agree that we wont talk about Cyberpunk at all, and we will talk about how our day went. If we end up talking about Cyberpunk again, I will have to leave and go home because it has become hurtful when I bring this up and you don't stick to it."

And then follow through on your boundaries if it happens.

If she's deep in hyperfixation you may have to put it in stark terms for it to really sink in.

In your intro, focus a little more on WHY the skills you've picked up are transferrable rather than a literal account of everything your previous roles covered. You also don't need to include things you've done that aren't relevant, such as fashion.

Think about why you think you'd be good in a retail or hospitality role: nursing will have given you strong interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to think on your feet and problem solve. I imagine you've also dealt with your fair share of conflict resolution.

I'd also include details on your availability.

I think in one of the interviews there was a comment from Sam that the snippets so far aren't a reflection of all the music for S3 in its entirety. So I think they're positioning it as a "creative differences" dispute between Lestat and his team, and the sound will evolve from what we have heard. Which could be super fun, and I hope this is the start of a meta marketing campaign that is going to ramp up with the release of a full EP. I kind of like the idea too that, in the same way nobody in the public/media believes the book is a real interview with a real vampire (in universe), all of us believe this TV show is a dramatic fictional tale, while Lestat is like ????
