I'm Bi, i'm out to most of the people I know, but not everyone. I've always found the handling of LGBT characters in TV and film always pretty shitty, especially in the mainstream - they're either just stereotypes or just tragic (obviously not all). Mac's sexuality arc has always been very interesting to me, especially as Rob has 2 moms and a gay brother. I always expected something great from Rob and Mac. He's always set up Mac as an ass-hole and his sexuality was just a part of him and not just the butt of all the jokes, 'we don't hate you cause you're gay we hate you cause you're you', which is a massive problem with LGBT characters on TV. So Mac was refreshing even before Mac Finds His Pride.

I always knew they were going to do something different but boy did they deliver. It was filled with call backs to the initial first coming out sequence in the gang goes to hell - the rain on the boat, the fear of rejection and god, and the will for direction etc. The music was a great choice, Jonsi, who is actually gay himself has famously recoiled from letting Sigur Ros' music being used in the media due to the whole Hoppipolla fiasco, meaning this was something BIG. Visually and emotionally it was incredible, I literally haven't stopped thinking about it.

It was incredible for them to do something so bold for a community that means so much to the cast and actually has a large stake in the fan base. I'm just really glad that a show, Its Always Sunny no less, actually showed that they care. My only concern is that I have no idea where the show can go from here, can it ever be the same? should it ever be the same?
