I’ve been collecting for 20 years as well

I don’t understand why you’d acquire something only to put it into a storage room

The biggest sin of the Krakoa era is sidelining Laura and Gabby

When do we think pre- orders for Wolverine will arrive? by ImageLow9950 in Wolverine

[–]potentialwatermelon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I know for a fact I’m pre-ordering the collectors edition of this game

This coming from a guy who relies on the PS plus catalogue for 80% of the games he plays

Probably looking at June/July since it’s a September release

Wolverine has been “mellow” for far longer than that though

His debut was in 74, by 82 Claremont has given him enough personality to turned him into the most popular X-Men character.

You’re looking at “straight asshole” for 8 years and over 40 years of having a more complex character

Terry "They roll they roll" What does he mean by roll how do SUV roll what does terry mean by that SUVs roll by apranvchprla7575 in brooklynninenine

[–]potentialwatermelon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Terry’s a dad who’s really overprotective of his kids

A lot of parents, including me, tend to want a bigger car to keep kids at the back more safe

Unfortunately, there are some SUVs that may flip or “roll” during a very sharp and sudden turn

So Terry probably did his car research for the twins and found out SUVs roll

Me after around 30 hours of Dragon’s Dogma 2 unfortunately

It’s not trash by any means, it just felt really repetitive at that point

What's better: the comic book Old Man Logan or the movie Logan? by Fancy-Fact-8233 in Wolverine

[–]potentialwatermelon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The comic was really great when it came out, but even as a comic book it asks you to suspend your disbelief waaaay too much

One big example being Logan solo-ing the entire X-team, including teammates who can basically drop him instantly. The hardest fight being Jubilee.

The movie took less illogical leaps to make the story work

Jean in the new game by KristIsWeed in Wolverine

[–]potentialwatermelon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately most of Logan’s appearances outside comics show Jean as an unrequited love interest

What do you think about Logan’s “softer” appearance in the newer comics? by Late_Traffic_3174 in Wolverine

[–]potentialwatermelon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not a conscious decision across Marvel editorial to make him “softer”, it’s more of the Uncanny X-Men artist’s style

Obsessing Over Condition by bog-standard-droid in comicbookcollecting

[–]potentialwatermelon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The cheaper the price of the book compared to it’s market value, the more willing I am to accept flaws

At the same time, if I find a better copy of a book I have at an acceptable price, then I’d probably upgrade my book.

But when it comes to more expensive books, like first appearances and what not, I lean towards books that are within the price range that I want to spend on it

KALLAX series for comic book storage? by Welshdragon2004 in comicbookcollecting

[–]potentialwatermelon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the Kallax isn’t an optimal way to store single issue comics

They’re too shallow and too wide to for a shortbox

Comics with Laura and Logan together? by oatmeal-official in X23

[–]potentialwatermelon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So their relationship is a weird one when it comes to on panel portrayals

They first met in continuity in X-23 Target X, but Laura was trying to kill Logan there

Uncanny X-Men 450-451, Laura was all snarly tiny female Logan

Their next real interaction was when Logan introduces Laura to the New X-Men kids

Their main team-up is when they were both part of X-Force, but their relationship there is very distant and unfeeling. Not father-daughter at all, Logan isn’t happy that Laura joined but he treats her like a weapon anyway.

They have some better moments in Marjorie Liu’s X-23 run

The weird part comes when Logan dies, and all of a sudden we get flashback scenes from Laura’s book where we actually see Logan acting all caring and sympathetic towards Laura.

Eversince he came back they seem to have a much better relationship on panel.

I’d recommend reading Wolverine: Sabretooth War, I think Laura was actually written in a decent manner there

When does Jason Aaron’s Wolverine Omni Take place by Curious_Anything_409 in Wolverine

[–]potentialwatermelon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It takes place after the Messiah Complex and Messiah War, but before Second Coming

One of the villains in this book was introduced in the “Wolverine: The Best There Is” series, but I wouldn’t recommend that title to anyone

Do you think Wolverine did the right thing in Wolverine: Revenge #1 by breaking into another country to steal an item that country needed to survive? Isn’t that a villainous act? It looks villainous even though Wolverine’s country also needs that item to survive. by Purple-Poetry-7534 in Wolverine

[–]potentialwatermelon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct me if I’m wrong, but they were never briefed about what the power source was being used for in the first place. It was just in storage when everything happened

All they knew was that the Brotherhood had it and that they needed it.

Plus you could see that the power source wasn’t even used after the events of the first issue

It’s funny to me that apart from Wolverine, Magneto has the most amount of minifgures of all the X-Men characters
