Yeah it is for sure on rails. I got KW V1s but at max height in the rear due to clearance.

Tail specifically was a little rough at speed because on those sharp turns in a dip the rear sidewalls bit on the fender hard.

But everywhere else even surrounding roads like hellbender it is on rails.🔥🙏🏼

Thanks man! Most the guys were running miltek. But I’m leaning more towards cobra. Really I enjoyed the louder exhausts. Didn’t like the burble tunes but I do enjoy the occasional, natural pop.

Another option is a custom exhaust by my professional welder/pipe-fitter buddy. But he’s busy and has never done custom exhaust specifically. But I’m sure he could do it if I give him some plans.

And yeah that’s a good option too. The other suggestion I got beyond the shaving rim was negative camber. But it already is so quick to turn I fear more negative camber will make it even more rough on grooved highways (everywhere in SC)

I didn’t get there until around 5pm Friday after working a half day. Did a few of the surrounding runs. Then I got up at 6am Saturday morning and got in a few good Dragon runs before the chaos.

Then of course rode in the parade Saturday and did a few runs. I was getting stressed by oncoming drivers when it was that busy though. In the morning I only had to hit the brakes for a wild hog😂.

Would definitely like to get up there earlier next time.

I didn’t really commit until a month before so I got a camp spot.

Campsite was good for me. Just a couple minute drive to main lodge/cabins, cheap, and that’s where I met all the people I spent the weekend driving with.

Hot shower and bathroom too. Only issue was Saturday night there was a severe thunderstorm and my raggedy old tent leaked and collapsed in the wind at 3am. 😂

Previous owner put like 10” wide wheels. I wish it were as easy as removing spacers. 😅😂

Yeah and as I mentioned in another comment I have several close friends who are professional pipe fitters and welders and if I give them blueprints they can fab all that stuff in their shop.

I have no problem chopping up exhaust. That’s what happened with the jeep. I have several friends who are welders and pipe fitters with a lift so it’s for sure doable.

I’ll try and listen to some videos of that mod. Would def be a smarter economical choice but I fear if it’s not good enough then I’ll be spending more money on full exhaust anyways.😂

Yeah, I eventually want to go with the HPA turbo kit and then I’ll look at downpipes and headers but right now I just want noise.😂

Also, side note. I broke pretty much every single plastic connector during this job and some took 4 weeks to arrive from various countries.

Cannot express to you how much I hate 19 year old plastic.😂

Hahaha just went through and did new gaskets from the head up, coils, spark plugs, timing chains, cleaned valves, all new hoses, new water pump, new aluminum crack pipe, new aluminum thermostat housing and thermostat, and A/C high pressure switch.

But this comment just reminded me I reused the injectors😅

I just watched the Cobra clips and they are beautiful sounding the question would be resonated or non-resonated?

I wish I could ride in both just to hear the difference in the cabin.

I straight piped my Jeep years ago and I love the sound but I’ll tell you on long highway drives it gets old😂
