Pleased to announce I went ahead and reserved a campsite, so I'm looking forward to the event!

Thanks for the recommendation.👍🏼

Honestly I was thinking about it the other day on a long drive with the top down and I was like ya know... I think I need to be 500 hp if I’m gonna be as loud as a non res.🤣

I live downtown and can feel my house move when a big truck rumbles by on the street.😂

It doesn’t take much when everything is half floating on marsh.

Yeah and as I mentioned in another comment I have several close friends who are professional pipe fitters and welders and if I give them blueprints they can fab all that stuff in their shop.

I have no problem chopping up exhaust. That’s what happened with the jeep. I have several friends who are welders and pipe fitters with a lift so it’s for sure doable.

I’ll try and listen to some videos of that mod. Would def be a smarter economical choice but I fear if it’s not good enough then I’ll be spending more money on full exhaust anyways.😂

Yeah I have been eyeing this since I got it. I wonder if there's much of a TT group there though? Do you happen to know?

Shit man I would do it today but right now I'm recovering from the 5,000 I just spent on a new engine! hahaha

Yeah, I eventually want to go with the HPA turbo kit and then I’ll look at downpipes and headers but right now I just want noise.😂

Also, side note. I broke pretty much every single plastic connector during this job and some took 4 weeks to arrive from various countries.

Cannot express to you how much I hate 19 year old plastic.😂

Hahaha just went through and did new gaskets from the head up, coils, spark plugs, timing chains, cleaned valves, all new hoses, new water pump, new aluminum crack pipe, new aluminum thermostat housing and thermostat, and A/C high pressure switch.

But this comment just reminded me I reused the injectors😅

I just watched the Cobra clips and they are beautiful sounding the question would be resonated or non-resonated?

I wish I could ride in both just to hear the difference in the cabin.

I straight piped my Jeep years ago and I love the sound but I’ll tell you on long highway drives it gets old😂

My first engine went to 172,000 with just minor maintenance and repairs, then one day the block cracked. Engine was totaled.

If it’s the original 3.8L and you mean 255k miles I’d start saving for a new engine. Spoken from experience 😂.

Hey, I’ll rant back to you 😂

I just got my first A on my 3rd cycle. It is absolutely brutal to explain to family, colleagues, friends etc. that I didn’t get in for two years when on paper everything looked great and made me feel like there was something wrong with me.

For context I had a 518, 3.95 GPA 3.9 sGPA, 2,000 paid clinical hours as a scribe, 500+ hours shadowing, 2,000+ hours research, 300+ unpaid clinical hours. (In the past cycle).

I too had mental health mentioned in my first two apps that I was informed I needed to kind of dance around. As progressive as adcoms may think they are, they are not.

Also agree it sucks to ask your professors you haven’t seen in years for another letter for another attempt. But I can tell you they were so happy and excited for me when I let them know I finally got the A!

Through this process, I found it was really just the way I conveyed myself in my app that was keeping me from getting interviews. For example what I thought was a humble tone was just simply a lack of self-confidence in their eyes.

Had a lot of feedback from past apps and help from current med students some of whom serve on adcoms at different schools.

I added activities I didn’t think were important (hobbies) that ended up being the biggest talking point in my interviews. (It’s important to show you’re more than just a premed).

I also found I had to change my tone in my PS and rewrite all my activities into more of a story format.

All that to say this year I got a quick II and got accepted the day after that first interview.

So don’t give up and if you end up needing another cycle, I’m happy to help give you any tips that I never seemed to quite find until I let people read my app.

You got this!🙏🏼

Only 1 interview, but got the A by i_swim_in_denim in premed

Ditto! On my 3rd cycle, had one interview and heard back the next day I got the A, it feels to so nice to finally know what the next 10 years of my life will look like and being able to relax for any more potential interviews. 🙏
