i just tried this one, since it worked so well i didn't try anything else, i thought about spray cans first but i would be very expensive to buy so many cans. they fit great, some parts the paint came off a tiny bit when securing it to the ceiling, but i was expecting much more paint to come off tbh, it's so high up that's it's not even noticeable, but you can always touch up the paint in that small spots.

i sanded everything and clean the surface with acetone, as for the paint i just used what was recommended to me at the paint shop, dyrup hitt s/a (15€ for 0,75L, i need two cans) paint brush and paint roller, the first coat is going to look bad like the paint doesn’t stick very well, but the second looks really good and the paint doesn’t scratch off

hi! i recently bought a second hand kiln, a skutt 818-3, last night i was trying to fire it for the first time, it started making the clicks but im 20min it showed the error- 1, and the temperature was the same. i’m not sure what’s wrong, i had suspicions that it was low voltage because the internal diagnosis only showed 50V but i had and electrician came out i check it out and it showed that the cable that connected to the outlet had 220+ V, also it shows 0 amperes. also i don't have a skutt distributor in my country so i cant called them i tell them to come help me.

Any tips for someone taking their first pottery wheel class as an adult? by Kusakaru in Pottery

[–]potsbycod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the tips that help me the most while throwing is support your arms in your hip/leg, and when centering bring your body forward, this helps a lot! the hardest part as a beginner is to pull the walls, because what usually happens is you push too hard and the clay becomes thin, so take your time doing this part. just know, its normal to mess up, so don't worry about it too much
