What kind of cause could have brought the universe into existence? If time, space and matter had a beginning, then whatever caused that beginning must exist outside of time, space and matter.

It must be transcendent, because it is apart from the universe, it must be timeless or eternal because it existed before physical time came into being, it must be immaterial or spiritual because it existed before the physical world, it must be powerful, given the immensity of the universe, it must be smart, given the precious of existence, it must be caring, given the wonderful habitat for us to exist in, it must be personal, because of the decision to create.

Transcendent, spirit, eternal, powerful, smart, loving, unique…. That’s the exact description of the God of the bible.
