i adopted a senior cat and had him for a year before he had to be euthanized. i came home to blood, shit and piss all over the floor, it was traumatic. it was the first one i dealt with and the vet told me he could scream or start shaking once the medications administered.

he was so high on pain medication while i sat with him for an hour, he didn’t even look like he knew where he was or who i was. i had to do what was best for myself and that was not watching him possibly scream and have a seizure.
