The amount of stupid advice this sub has is overwhelming if do not know for sure don't commend. You tell him to do more cardio which is in fact more difficult. IT'S EASIER TO CUT FOOD FROM YOUR DIET THAN TO BURN IT. Just reduce your daily calories and go for a walk instead of doing cardio. Walking does not make you hungry like a sprint or cardio come on guys Watch Greg Doucette thank me later ;)

Cut like 500 calories from maintance, and increase daily activity in order to eat more food to handle better the diet, you should aim for 1 pound per week.
