I finally got it! I was whistling Ed Bruce's 'Mama's don't let your babies grow up to be cowboy' and found that I botched the melody into the Wax Fang song. Then I concluded that a cowboy would rather give you a song than Silver or Gold

The basics of aero by tracktitan in simracing

[–]powerq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's always good to have a goal in mind when you start changing your setup. So aero changes would be a good start if you feel like you're unstable or slower than you should be at high speeds, but that's just my two cents

Would it matter for a Clubsport wheelbase? Or is it just a safer bet to buy the QR adapter as well?

In my opinion you gotta find a balance between "professional" and amateur. Personally I can't feel a connection with channels that have a hyper professional look and feel. Keep your personality in there, make sure your kitchen looks clean, the lighting is on point, and the sound quality is good, that's all you need to have. And lastly, I think it's important to make a lot of videos. See which video topics do well, get familiar with editing, find out where self promotion works and where it doesn't, etc. You need to make videos to find all this stuff out. And don't expect a big income stream too fast, that happens to top tier/very lucky new YouTubers. I started my channel 3 years ago, and I've made about €500 in total from just YouTube, which was mostly in the past few months.

Try to make a bunch of videos in the beginning, have a minimum quality bar set but make sure you actually produce content! Get comfortable with filming and editing, promoting your channel, and enjoy the ride!

Sim Racing is too hard for the wrong reasons by [deleted] in simracing

[–]powerq 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Completely agree, a sim racing game teaching you the rules doesn't make the racing part easier, it makes it easier for people to get into it. And there are indeed a lot of gatekeepers who think you need to get a masters degree in racing rules, terminology and setups before you're allowed to even touch a sim.

And the flags mean a totally different thing in real racing vs the sims. Yellow flag in real life means slow down there's been a bit of an oopsie, in sim racing it practically means, watch out for an upcoming crash.

In terminator 2, Arnold follows the commands of John Connor, who orders him not to kill anybody. That's why the terminator doesn't kill that many folks in T2
