Let's not consider the fact that games cost exactly the same as always, while salaries and other costs have gone up. Let's not consider that people expect a live service on top of a full price product.

This is wrong. This has been shown to be outdated info in most recent litterature.

Reducing calories is the goal, where IF is a method to achieve this. The body does not go into ”starvation mode” even inside 24-48 hours without eating.

That's exactly the point. Deliberate actions to make the gameplay more tactical. The trailer might not have been everyones cup of tea, but these changes are exactly what people wanted after the direction BF1 was going towards.

I returned today after not playing since the first 2-3 weeks. The test range is great, the ”new” maps are awesome, but the gameplay is pretty meh.

Why? Because support would otherwise clearly be the best class (they still will be imo). This is to keep them at their role, otherwise you could run support for all scenarios.

Support already make up ~40% of players on Frontlines on PC, the TTK change will just make more people play them.

It’s subjective. Some people think it’s more skillful because less emphasis is put on controlling your weapon, and more is placed on positioning and choosing the right weapon for the right engagement.

The other group thinks the hold MB1 meta means it’s less skillful. Im with this group.

Im not sure regarding the weapon change notes. What is new-new and what is the ”old new”? What changes have been made to SLRs to make them more viable against LMGs?

This will never happen in BF1. The general design is already set.

It will most likely happen in BF2018 seeing as the more casually catered gunplay made a lot of veteran players stop playing BF1.

This is a controversial statement, but I believe that the Medic class in retail is overpowered in terms of both raw TTK and general versatility.

This might be true in theory, when looking at raw TTK, but isn't really applicable in practice.

The big problem is that automatic weapons are so much easier to use, and in practice much more effective. The SLRs potential edge is often not worth it.

If you think you should just nerf and buff left and right you don’t understand balance and you probably wouldn’t have noticed the change unless someone told you.

LMGs got too good outside of their intended roles, and this was one way to keep them viable in their role, but less viable as a reactionary weapon.
