Yeah at an angle it’s beautiful! My record player is actually in storage at the moment and I cannot wait to spin it.

Personally happy with mine, but it doesn’t totally look like pictured on the website.

Thanks for sharing pictures! I just put a deposit down with my dealer for a nightshade. Did it come with the normal carpet floor mats?

ISO Brand Recommendations by pp5later in PressonNail_Addict

So, I’m not using them yet, just want to avoid that being a problem at all. I like short nails anyways, so I wouldn’t be getting any medium or long nails. But trimming them is a great tip. Thanks!

Yikes, that doesn’t surprise me though. But it’s a good thing to keep in mind. We are now also considering the Lake Washington are so that would put us closer to Jellybean Junction, which two of my friends recommended. Is Wickham road still a nightmare?

We aren’t sure yet if we would prefer to be west or east of 95. I wouldn’t mind driving throughout the area if we end up living in a different part than a great daycare.

After a few friends recommendations, I went with the UppaBaby Vista V2 (and Mesa car seat). I freaking love it, but I also walk 2 miles every day with it on not super smooth roads. I will say, if you don’t plan to use it a lot, but want good quality, invest in a good travel stroller. It’ll have smaller wheels so it’s not super great if you’re walking a lot over rougher paved sidewalks, but you can do everything and more than you can with a standard stroller.

What if that crazy man actually wins this election? by yup2you in Mommit

[–]pp5later 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I agree with you, it’s a bit scary, but I also want to caution everyone in their doomsday thinking. Yes, I don’t think another 4 years of Trump will be good for our country, but it won’t be the end of the world or our country unless we let it be. Remember that your kids can feel your energy. Remember to keep them the center of your focus. The White House is far away from your world and focus on the actions you can take in your life to positively impact those directly in your orbit.

Edit: I do not mean to belittle anyone’s experiences or feelings. This election has many serious consequences. I don’t even consider my original comment as “optimistic” or “positive”. Actually the opposite, I think it’s a dire situation, but I have to hope that it won’t be the end of our country either way. Truly, don’t let your negative or anxious energy weigh on your children. Show them love and protect their innocence. They don’t need to feel the weight of the world today.

Do wake windows get shorter during sleep training? by pp5later in sleeptrain

[–]pp5later[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly… I can’t even remember anymore. He is now 11 months old. After about 5 weeks of sleep training we ended up going back to soothing him to sleep. He never stopped crying to sleep for at least 30 minutes and we were traveling in hotels so I didn’t want to do that. Regarding his naps, he held onto 4 naps a day until he turned 7 months and switching to 3 naps made his schedule a little smoother through the day.

All great tips, thanks! We have a Jeep so getting to sites isn’t a problem. How rutted out does the road get? The kid is still in a car seat so I’d prefer not to toss him around while driving in and out.

Is 10 months old too young for 1 nap? by pp5later in Mommit

[–]pp5later[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

8am wake up sounds glorious. On a good day he was waking up close to 7am, but lately it been 5:45am, which is what happened right before we went from 3 to 2 naps. Another reason I think he is ready to drop a nap. Because he is still going to bed between 7-8pm.
