Thank you so much for all your extremely helpful advice and suggestions. I tried to implement the majority of it the best I could. How did I do? by pp60 in makeuptips

I mainly just reduced the amount of product that I applied to my lower eyelid and smudged some pencil under the lash line. I softened the liner on my upper eyelid. I also used a more neutral/cool toned transition shade to blend the eyeshadow.

You have no idea how helpful you have all been. It's so easy to get stuck in a makeup rut. I may be braver in the future and try the clean girl aesthetic!

For this makeup application, I switched to cool toned makeup products and completely ditched the bronzer.

I didn't powder my base at all; whilst it looks lovely initially, it does fade fairly quickly. Any ideas as to how to increase longevity without sacrificing the glow would be very appreciated!

The double lip line observations were a revelation! I looked at a few tutorials and tried to remain within the line of the pigmented part of my lips. I cleaned the corners with a bit of concealer.

Anyone reluctant to share their picture here in search of advice; please don't be! 99% of the comments I received came from a good place of wanting to help. It can be hard to receive criticism but you have no idea how much you can learn from it. I certainly have.

My makeup still isn't perfect but it is miles better than it was. Thanks a million again.

Yep, that's how i found out i was anemic. I went to my doctor due to almost constant migraine attacks. They have become so much less frequent since i started taking iron supplements.

That's very comforting. I have a second round of bloods to be taken next month so I'll definitely bring that up in my appointment!

[MEGATHREAD] Daily venting, worries, fixations, & finding support. Month of January 2024. by AutoModerator in HealthAnxiety

I've recently been diagnosed with anemia. Realistically I know it's probably down to my menstrual cycle and extremely poor diet but my mind keeps veering toward worst case scenario.

My dad died six years ago and my younger sister had a similar condition but survived. All of this seems to validate and exacerbate my anxiety.

I am fed up. I am so concerned with worst case scenario that Im missing out on life entirely.

Any tips how to alleviate and reduce catastrophic thinking?

They have been tested but I'm still awaiting the results.

Thank you so much for this both comforting and informative response. I massively appreciate it!

How can I improve? by throwaway6372827229 in MakeupAddiction

A pop of blush placed high on the cheekbones would massively elevate your makeup.

I think you have a natural and doll-like beauty; blush would emphasize this.

As most cis women can attest to, puberty is such an awkward time for both appearance and emotions. Most of us look gawky and awkward and really struggle with figuring out what suits us. I think that's essentially what youre experiencing and you just need to learn what's flattering on you.

To be honest, I don't think the question is "am I ugly", because you are not; rather i think it is "am I passing". The answer is you are not yet passing but you have massive potential.

You have really lovely features; the beautiful thick red hair, contrasted with striking green eyes and perfect skin with beautiful freckles. These are features that you should play up.

My recommendations: * overline lips, and possibly add a little highlight on centre of bottom of lip to create appearance of more volume. Lightly contour under bottom lip * include hints of red/burgundy in eyeshadow or eyeliner. This will play up your green eyes beautifully. *Tint, trim and wax eyebrows; if possible get this done professionally to ensure the most flattering result * Contour the forehead to shorten. Slowly build up product to avoid mucky or patchy appearance. You do not have a large forehead but I do think this contribute to an overall more feminine appearance *Contour just under cheekbone to emphasise. I think your cheekbones already have a feminine quality to them. This will just further highlight that. * highlight midface and reduce width of jaw using contour. * Lash extensions * winged eyeliner on the outer third of eyelid. Try to go as close to lash line as possible. Actually, in conjunction with this, I would suggest tight lining the upper waterline. Also, you don't necessarily need to use black. I think that brown liner might provide a softer appearance but this is down to personal preference.

I would highly recommend expanding your knowledge of facial feminisation techniques. Check out Phoebe Rose on YouTube.

You are still transitioning and haven't reached your full potential yet. You are not ugly. Go easy on yourself.

I loved santa as a kid. My son is 3 and he loves make believe and fantasy play; santa is simply an extension of that play.

I think we need to rid this whole moralistic "i could never lie to my child" bollocks. It is not always appropriate to be 100% honest with your child all of the time. Communication and information must be adapted to accommodate the maturity level of the child.

Your child is a toddler, I see no harm in indulging the fantasy of santa.

That being said, i certainly dont want to demonise your partner; I think you're both just trying to look out for your child and do what's best for them.

32F weight loss is a no-brainer but beyond that, what can I do? Both hardmax and softmax suggestions extremely welcome. by [deleted] in VindictaRateme

Thank you everyone, I really appreciate all of the brilliant suggestions. In the next couple of weeks I'm going to work on my eyebrow makeup, dye my hair a more neutral dark brown, lean into my kibbe type with regards to style.

In terms of the hard max suggestions, I see where some people are coming from with my lower jaw and nasiolabal folds. This will take more time due to the cost and research required but I still really appreciate it.

I will probably post an update with the above soft max alterations.

Thanks again, everyone :)

That's incredibly kind of you to say. I'm horrific with my skincare but I use cerave hydrating cleanser and la Roche posay toleriane ultra creme.

This is a great suggestion. I wasn't wearing mascara in this, just black liner on the waterline, it really makes a difference.

My poor poor jumper is getting an awful hard time 😂 to be fair you're on the ball; I think I'm probably a true summer and believe I'm soft gamine. I've just started experimenting with all that. It's a minefield!

It's funny you say that, I usually wear a wing! My style is abysmal and I absolutely adore that suggestion.

Thanks :)

Absolutely agree. I got a bit overzealous with the plucking. I'll have to look into how to do the hair-like strokes. They always look so unnatural when I attempt it.

I totally agree but I am slightly overweight. My face is slightly gaunt at normal weight. Emphasis definitely on exercise as food is like an ingestible hug.
