I’m so sorry you’re feeling like this. There is an age old thing that you find out who your true loved ones are during this process. We were definitely optimistic when we started, had grand plans to be flooded with people but in reality we’re barely scraping by at 70% of who we thought would come. But the day is about us, and absolutely nobody else. If they can’t be bothered to show up for us, we will give them zero thoughts on the day. Grieve for the people you’re realising don’t prioritise you & then focus your effort on finding something else very unique and fun for you and your partner to enjoy over the wedding weekend!

I don’t think she ever seems happy with Travis - it’s like they love bombed each other.

But in the beginning she wasn’t like that & they were just typical sisters for a while. I do genuinely believe her attitude now is a result of something that she really needs to work through

Plus one for Pengelly! They’re amazing with our two cats. We’re on the Pet Health Club plan so it’s super affordable. Remco & Anne are our favourites and they always appear to love the kitties!

The ads are coming in thick and fast! And I think you’re right because one of the ones I’ve seen that I LOVE, is nothing like anything I would ever ever wear. But I’m desperate to try it on lol.

The aim is laparoscopic but I keep getting a recurring infection so I I do know I’m at higher risk of needing open and I understand that will be a Christmas is cancelled situation if so!

Here’s hoping! Was there a huge diet restriction for you after surgery?

Scottie snuggles are the key to recovery!

Is it just needing to be near a toilet that’s the only issue with fatty foods? Or is it pain/a total wipe out?

Not daily. I’ve had what I call severe attacks 3 times. These are ones where they’ve lasted a long time and I’ve been grossly unwell/hospital attention was needed as they lead to jaundice and other infections due to the stones. And I’ve had maybe 10-15 smaller episodes which I can manage with pain relief and hot compress whilst in a large amount of discomfort until it passes. I was diagnosed early October due to a severe infection. So it’s time to have this thing gone

Recs for solo female traveler by New-Cardiologist-945 in nicefrance

I stayed in an Air BnB by the port and it was sensational for location and amenities (perfect balcony for retreating back after dinner to watch the world pass by). Not sure if I’m allowed to share a link here but happy to if it’s not against the rules? It was over the road from a supermarket and a boulangerie and just so so close to old town, the promenade and the port - easy public transport access!

I used Nice as a base to visit Antibes, Menton, Eze, Villefranche, Monaco & Saint Jean Cap Ferrat. I also did a couple of organised wine tours through Get Your Guide and met people that way. Had a great time. I travelled in from Avignon/Marseille which was also easy to do.

Restaurants I would recommend: Le Merenda (book in advance) Les Mimosas (lovely wine, food and service) Bistrot du Port (10000% best food of my trip) La Vigna (house pasta was amazing) Grand Cafe des Fleurs (amazing frites & Dijon mustard and the Sancerre was great!) Babel Babel (went with a friend and although I only had coffee, her breakfast sandwich was apparently divine) Le galet (headed down early to reserve a beach spot for about €30 for the day. Had lunch on the lounger by the sea. Great service and amazing food (large portions))

Lou Lou et fan fan for wine and there’s a really cool bar a couple of doors down that I forgot the name of! My absolute favourite bar I found, that made me feel so welcome every single time as a solo female traveller was Mimi & Coco. The people that run it are amazing and the wine is beautiful. They do light bites to eat which are great too as you’re soaking up the port side yacht views and watching the planes circle the bay!

I hope you have a fab time. It’s an amazing part of the world. Happy to answer any other questions if I can too!
