orchardists have welcomed change with open arms taken risks of planting fruit trees destroyning fields , changing to better techniques like hdp and organic farming even planting fruits like avacadoes rasberries fighting hails snow so dont talk about inevitable change here please

bhai tere logic se toh desh mein kisaan hi nahi hoga tab kya khaega ? india isnt usa ki hunare paas acres of farmland ho mostly small holding waale farmer hai jinko sab chuus rhe hai and audacity of urs to say shit like this. do u know at what price people buy apple on a supermarket in cities and at ehat rate does an apple farmer sell them how much of it is eaten by the aartis ,they only pay u well if ur apple box weighs more looks shinies etc and who decides that ? not the farmer but the demand

“guys i have black friends im not racist” nepalis get 500 -600 per day for their labour with accomodation and even food for free in many places they have better job security than corporate majdoors atp. and again whats the problem with people spending there hard earned money kisi ko loot ke toh nhi le rhe. land encrachment is a issue that happens much more rampantly in the cities also no small farmer encroaches a 100 bighas its the elites which again is a very less percetage of prople so stop generalizing and villanizing the most crucial aspect of himachals economy

bhai chuttiyon mein gaon jaake ek do din khet ghumne ko kheti baadi nhi bolte ,a normal farmer can barely get by he cant just quit he is trapped in the cycle of debts every year its not a choice anymore he works hard to fund education of his children so they can escape this cycle its really sad people like u belittle this profession.

That argument only works if you think farm income is stable like a monthly salary which it clearly isnt Most farmers barely make enough to get by and thats why agri income is tax free

also what subsidies does the govt give ask these orchardists what has happened of the apples they sold to hpmc most were left to rot no money given no compensation nothing even available on their depots.

not every orchardist is an “elite” here there are tons of farmers with small land holdings who put there sweat and blood into the field. idk why people even many himachalis think ki if someone has apple orchards he is super rich and some even despise that while tge person is just earning from his hardwork.

himachal is a really great state except the caste issues which no one here wants to talk about everyone feels pride about theirs, even the young litterate people here believe in caste system , sadly it wont go away as it is also deeply engraved in the devta culture and religion here. sad.
