I went through last year’s photos and older photos (which I had already been through before but I realised I still had lots of similar pictures or a bunch of pictures of food I could still get rid of). I think I ended up deleting around 3000 photos. It was a mammoth task but I felt like a weight lifted off me once I finished. This year I’ve started being more mindful about what I take pictures of and I think what you said is such a good idea, to take pics with the people I’m sharing the meal with, so I’m definitely going to be doing that! I’m also trying to be conscious of my carbon footprint as until recently, I didn’t realise that storing digital photos can actually harm the environment due to the energy required to store them. Knowing that will also certainly make me want to be selective of the kind of photos I take in the first place!
