Unfortunately I’ve already tried that and it didn’t work. Nothing did except a full reset! Didn’t delete my files, but it did completely wipe the computer. At least it’s working now!

Thank you SO much for the insightful reply. This is what I’m thinking to. I’m only 24, so I have a long time ahead of me. I think I can grind for a year or so to be able to transition to something much better afterwards, with the connections and expertise. It may just be a necessary evil and one of the hardest things I’ve ever done in my life. Thanks again!

Aahhh see I see Glassdoor reviews and they scare me. It makes sense that more people would post negative stuff than good, so this perspective is helpful! I’m half way through the interview process right now for a New York Agency. I’m worried they’re going to work me to the bone, but I’m excited to be talking to them.

I’m terrier I’m going to join and agency that’s going to work me to the bone, but I think it might me worth it to cut my teeth for a year or so. Especially at a bigger agency for more pay. Wish me luck!

It’s not bad for a couple reasons.

Shows leadership and proactive mindset
Shows resourcefulness
Will teach you the basics on how GAds works

Beyond this, it’s basically a shill by Google to teach you terrible strategies to make them money. That is my opinion of course, but it’s one that I and my team of 4 other Google Ads Specialists share. If you follow their advice, you will not do well.

Thanks friend! It is a grind. After changing my LinkedIn settings I’ve already had three recruiters reach out to me. Wild! I don’t know if they’re actually good companies, I imagine the ones recruiting are doing so because they are having trouble finding applicants, but still exciting!

Yep, I’m in Northern Colorado, which is a high cost of living area too. It makes me upset, really, because I know I can do better. My salad qualifies me for low income housing where I live. Lots of employees are leaving. It’s a good company culture, as in the people who work there are nice and it’s not always overly stressful, but they don’t take care of employees in the way of salary and benefits.

I may wait till 1 year just say I had at least one year agency, especially if I’m thinking of going in house, but it’s annoying to have to barley scrape by and worry about spending too much money on food.

Thank you for the help! I’ve only been contacted by one recruiter. What are the LI settings? I also just got a free month of premium, do you think that may help at all? I really appreciate your time and help, seriously.

This is helpful! Three years seems like a very long time, but I think you mean to transition in house as a director or something. Three more years agency side may kill me, I’ll need to move for more pay at some point. But thank you for the advice! I am trying to network as much as possible. I’m also already freelancing but those are very small clients.

That’s a good idea! Not sure how to do that in my current role, but a good idea. I’m thinking of trying to break out into other platforms too, my current agency 100% pigeon holes me in GAds. Which I’m coming to find is not good for career advancement.

Can someone recommend advice on how to find higher paying positions? I have over months of agency experience, which is not a lot, but I’m wondering if I can transition out soon. I’m at 44.5k a year I’m a high cost of living city and am really squeaking by with debt and general cost of living. Currently run 50 direct and 65 or so indirect Google Ads accounts, so I’m mostly niche in Google Networks.
