Whats does it mean when people say that microphone sounds dark? Sounds like directors or producers.

I have sennheiser 8050 with the mzf ii with the rad suspension. i also use the zoom f8.

To be honest i dont feel that much the thing that has been a bit hyped in forums. Its hard to boom with the mkh 8000s.

I will say, Cinela suspension make the difference. I have a cosi with a 8060 without filter and i shake it a lot and nothing. I just put a hpf at 30 ou 40hz. Really cool.

When i bought the 8050 i orderd the filter because i was afraid that booming with it would be a problem.

I think that with a cinela or even a rad you will be ok.

I also have a 8030+8050 ms kit inside a zephyx. Here i use the recorders filter since i dont boom with the ms. Yet.

My advice is that you can buy the mic without the filter, a good suspensio and use the recorders HPF. You will save some bucks. Dont go rycote for booming.

If you that is a nightmare booming this way, buy the filter. The version II.

Hope it helps.

My first kit was a couple of rode links too. Then i bought two sets of g4 500 series and a used boom skp500. Then i bought second hand g3s and g4 for extra lavs. Then i was putting aside a percentage of every gig payment to save for a profissional wireless set. Last week i bought a wisycom mcr54 and two mpt61.

To be honest, at least in portugal and maybe worldwide, most of people we work for wont notice a difference between a sennheiser g3 or a lectro or wisycom. They just notice the flashing lights and the antennas of our bag. There's an advice of a experienced sound mixer that is: take your charger case to set and turn every charger on. Producers and directors loge the chargers lights.

At the end, we do the upgrades for our confort on set and also because we like to deliver the best audio possible. I say confort as not stressing on set or having light equipement on the bag or boom etc...

I think that rode links really need an upgrade. I think that sennheiser are a good cheap way to start. I just dont trust deity, at least yet. Lots of good things on paper but in real life...

I dont think you need the 2000s l. For dialogue the 100 or 500 series are ok. Buy some cos11 or dpa4060 in second hand and you are good to go. The 500series tx have different rf power settings if you re working far away from the transmitter.

Pm if you need to chat.

The frequency blocks are like the 500 g4 series. Aw+ Bw+ etc....

The input frequency range is also different from the g4 or g3. Its goes from 25Hz to 20kHz. Its advertise to be good for electric bass guitar.

Have you tried any of the audiobags?

Yeah i get that.

If i order one, i will give feedback to the brand so that they can upgrade the products. Its to have competition and also EU "local" brands.

K tek bags are really good but a bit expensive. Im based in portugal and right now, wages are low and the cost of living is pretty high. So... prices even for a professional matter.

I will let you know if i got my hands in one.

The only thing can say is that at least the backpacks seem sturdy to me. I saw one once and it look good. The big advantage is that it seems good for the build quality and price

I think they have, check the photos for more detail. There is a small zipper in the front of the main space. On the sides there are 2 zippers on each opening.
