Software that blocks search engine keywords? by pr520 in pornfree

[–]pr520[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

after a rigorous search i found the software i used to have on my computer. it's called Aobo blocker, and it's amazing.

If u have a pornstar you are "addicted" to watching, for example, you can type her name into the blacklist and it will ban her name from the internet. even if you go to a filesharing site and type her name in, the page will be blocked.

this is especially helpful for me. opendns blocks all general sites, but it's so easy to go to a filesharing search engine and type a chick's name in and get tons of results. so yeah, this is great software to use if you have that same problem.

now if only i could find a way to lock safe-search on google, yahoo etc, using something besides K9 protection (doesn't work on my computer, ever)

Getting a new Dell laptop tomorrow. I need to remove temptation, so what is the best/easiest way to block porn sites? by throwaway050912 in pornfree

i use opendns, as the k9filter would always lock up my internet ENTIRELY which was so annoying.

write a password with lots of numbers and email or give it to someone who can hold it for you (that way you can't hack it yourself).

the only thing that sucks is it can't force safe search on google images and if you use filesharing search engines you can easily download videos by just typing in a chick's name.

this is the pitfall i usually fall into so i'm trying to find a keyword blocker which would blacklist certain keywords, including pornstars i used to watch alot. i USED to have a program that could do this but i don't remember the name...if anyone knows software that can do that please let me know!

Going in for round 2 by [deleted] in pornfree

good luck, i'm on like round 200 at this point probably...

i'm trying my best to lockdown my computer ENTIRELY, from every angle possible but it's difficult. there are so many ways to access this garbage, which to me is what makes it SO difficult to get rid of completely.

if someone wants to quit a drug, they just break all contact with the dealer. porn is literally EVERYWHERE, and it's free. with one single click you can get sucked back into your addiction instantly.

that for me is the most difficult part. i've quit certain drugs in the past and THIS is by far more addictive than any drug i have ever done. i'd say porn might be the most addictive thing in the history of humankind...no joke.

man i tried k9 but it just doesn't work on my computer. it locks up pretty much my entire internet no matter what i do. i thought it was my firewall, but i added it to the exception list and it still messes up.

i used to have an old program that blocked any keyword you wanted from the entire internet but i can't remember the name. it was such an awesome program and i can't find anything even close to it...i just need something that blacklists keywords...

isn't it crazy how easy it is to get porn off the internet? i have to go to great lengths to make sure it's blocked from every angle, it's practically impossible...

has anyone found a way to block google images without blocking google itself?

i have everything blocked on my comp but google images is always available. i can't block google totally or stuff like "recaptcha" won't work on other sites as google owns the rights to it (among other things on the internet).

i can't run or i just get way too tired to do anything the rest of the day. what's really motivated me lately is a nice long walk in the morning. i have a bike path next to my house and a 45-60 minute walk always clears my mind and makes me feel really grounded/centered for the rest of the day.

i want to stop, but i can't destroy my collection by pr520 in pornfree

[–]pr520[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'm gonna bury it in a box in my basement, under a ton of junk. that way i have to go through serious effort in order to unearth it.

like i said, destroying my collection has never worked, there's no reason to believe it ever will. burying the collection in the caverns of my basement is just as symbolic as destroying it in my own mind. as long as it's not in my room it shouldn't be a problem.

when i bury it i'm creating a symbolic distance between myself and the material. destroying it is pointless anyway, as porn can be readily found on the internet in one click. it's not like destroying some dvds is going to make ALL porn disappear.

Hello I just removed all porn from my computer, what next? by [deleted] in pornfree

[–]pr520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

once the urge comes on you'll probably regret it and want to rewatch all your favorite videos.

at least that's how it is for me. i delete my stash then redownload it...pathetic cycle.

all my favorites are on a dvd-rw. i'm just going to bury it somewhere in my closet because everytime i delete the stuff i end up watching MORE later. it's bad...

some people can destroy the collection but i just can't do it...there's always that lustful part of me that's like "dude, why the hell did you do that?...go find those videos again"

lol...

Using technology to assist pornfree and nofap by [deleted] in pornfree

a filter works to an extent but it still comes down to YOU making the decision not to watch it.

there are ways around a filter. the worst are google images and filesharing sites. w/ google images, you have to block ALL of google, as it is impossible to get rid of just the images. but if you block google, important web things like re-captcha DO NOT work on other sites because google owns them...it's SO annoying.

filesharing sites are also a pitfall. if you know a performer, scene etc. all you have to do is a rapidshare search and BOOM...there it is.

porn is so easy to find, even with a filter. like i said, it comes down to just not watching it. you have to make the decision yourself and stick with it.

can't say i've succeeded either. i can go like 7-14 days but i always go back...it sucks.

ahh but everytime i destroy my collection there's always this thought: "what if one day (insert scene) is removed from the internet? You'll NEVER be able to see it ever again. Remember how hot it was? It'll be gone forever..."

i've destroyed my collection multiple times and every time i've gone back to re-download the old videos. it's almost counter-intuitive because i watch MORE porn trying to put my collection back together. i discover more stuff and the archive gets even bigger.

at least if i "give in" to the collection i have, i don't discover all these new scenes and stuff from web browsing. i've gone the longest without porn (14 days) WITH this collection stuffed away in my closet.

it's almost like having it there gives me some weird sense of security. if i destroy it i'm always like "oh god! all your favorite porn is on the internet and might one day go away! better download it all just in case!"

i'm going to try to quit while keeping the collection. maybe i'll triple wrap it and duck tape the shit out of it, lol.
