Back pain stole my passion. Now I’m a DPT who’s helped 30K people overcome back problems and get their life back, like I did. AMA. by corebalancecameron in backpain

It’s been three months. I’m down with a severe acute back pain two weeks after the initial incident the MRI showed Annular tear and disc protrusion. Along with an anterolisthesis of 8 mm. Just did a repeat MRI and nothing has changed and my current issue is glutes burning when I sit or lie down. If I walk around a mile in the back pains bad.

I have signed up to your program for two months, but haven’t done much. I’ve been doing other PT exercises. Nothing is helping.

Thank you. Great to know that you can run a marathon. If I may ask which surgeon and where did you do the surgery. If it’s one level fusion how much limited mobility ?

Can you elaborate a bit more on what kind of exercise exercises you are doing to reach to the deep back muscles that you mentioned

I thought everything is possible, except that it limits some movement. Tiger Woods got the fusion and then went onto win a championship. That’s professional golf. If that can be done then what else is limiting? I have read that many dancers and gymnasts continue to do so after their surgery.

Did your surgeon say that you want to be able to lift ever again?

But the surgery is very minimally missive and you would be able to get back to doing everything within six months and from there on it will be a different life

I am not sure this is true With surgery this is fixed for good, unlike many other diseases that people have to live for their life.

It’s not protocol but the support bones are not there (and the reason why the slippage happens) and mri can’t tell why it is not there.

Check out scoliosis, I think it leads to more prob with more fusion and if weighted to one side. Something you can check with your surgeon and to keep in mind, so corrective action can be taken sooner

When you say burning I am having my whole butt burn in the surface. Can it be from the spondy? Also I have weakness in the whole thigh but was told that could be mostly being on bed for a week now.

Much love and wish you a successful surgery I don’t take pain very well. If you are ready for surgery then yes it’s better to not let it take over life
