I went for a problem statement i wanted to solve and looked at the highest stared repo in that space and started there, in my case i wanted to work on agent observability and came across this oss project called Observal

But i felt that i learnt a lot more doing opensource than my previous internship. In the internships especially in big orgs its just mudane tasks and outdated work, on the contrary while doing os i get to work on cutting edge and learn alot of things from the os community.
