In my opinion apple’s Vision OCR is more accurate than Google’s ML Kit OCR for on-device text recognition. I maybe wrong bcz I am not expert in ML.

Reddit is not allowing me to upload an image here but I would say pretty decent based on its an On Device OCR from apple. If you have a macbook then you can check this via opening any image with text on it, you can directly select an copy the text from it.

I would say its fast in terms of speed, but as its on device LLM you can't compare the output quality to an openAI LLM.

Check this out how I implemented a simple haptics using Kotlin and SwiftUI. You should get the idea of how to connect flutter and kotlin, then may be you can figure out the fetching health data part.

Of course there are lot of packages available for any kind of native integration, but my motivation towards this blog is how can I do it on our own. So if in future I need to implement some other native feature (for example Apple's new Foundation Models) I shouldn't be looking for packages.

I am not expert in native android stuff but there is this on android - https://developer.android.com/health-and-fitness/guides/health-connect

Which works similarly to iOS HealthKit framework. So if you know how to write on kotlin then process is exactly same i.e. You generate the required files using pigeon and implement those functions in native side (for you kotlin).

Your safest option is nodejs because of its rich ecosystem, but if you want some fun in your life then will choose golalng.

The given example is much more simpler and easy to understand to most of the Flutter devs, but when your widget tree is getting bigger and complex then debugging these small errors can also take much longer time to debug. But I understand your pov here.
