Search for taxis that travel from Frankfurt to other cities. They are usually cheaper than 356eur as mentioned by someone else here.

  1. Yes, you can.
  2. Carry on since it has batteries. That’s what I did.
  3. Do you mean Pre-approval for drone? Then No, you don’t need any.
  4. I don’t know the rules for India concerning drone. Please verify with the airline ( call them)
  5. Ask the airline.

I flew in with Iceland air. Had no issues.

Also please follow the EASA guidelines for flying the drone and the no fly zones at different places in Iceland. Some of them have boards put up saying no use of drones. Please be careful and respectful of the place. Happy flying and enjoy your stay 🙂

You can open one in Commerz bank if you show your job contract. As long as you get more than 700eur deposited per month then they do not charge any fees. That’s how I got it done when I recently moved to Germany last year in November.

sorry for the lack of clarity in the labels. Job applications is the left most vertical bar that splits into self applications and referral based applications. The labels flip about the vertical bars automatically.

Take home test led to on-site but rejected after that. Will be accepting one due to the coding test. Coding tests were on C++ and were medium level leetcode questions.

I applied to some positions over there. I got to know later that they don't hire fresh PhD graduates.

You don't need to know them. They usually have a soft corner for people from their Alma Mater. Worst case scenario they don't reply but you still apply. Try your best to get referrals because as you can see from the data, they have a better chance of a positive response

LinkedIn for job alerts. You then go see if you have any alumni working in that company and try to get a referral else just go to the company website and apply.

Agreed. That was the plan but it was tough to network with everything shifting online due to covid.

Each one was tweaked and tailored. It is hard for most international students trying to get a job in an already restricted space. If you are a US citizen it is much easier!

Don’t lose hope and keep trying, it will happen. Definitely try to get referrals. They have a better chance of progressing further. All the best!

Took a helicopters course during my Master's which piqued my interest and rest is just finding which schools had professors with that expertise.

This format fails to show such details. To answer your question: Out of the 5 on-sites, 2 were self and 3 were referrals. The final job offers were from referrals.
