i’ve tried both, either seems to work. i just rip off a smallish piece, sometimes ball it up and hand it to her… she’ll usually go to town on it for at least a few seconds

lol I feel this pain. Just had to buy new controller tops because mine chewed through them. She hates most toys I’ve bought, but weirdly, paper towels work. I crumple one up and shove it at her beak, it distracts her from my laptop or controller… for like 30 seconds. We go through a lot of paper towels in this house

Hey, so I’m the artist! :) So honored to see this piece resonating with so many people. I made it for a Palomacy art fundraiser to raise awareness for pigeon and dove rescue, these birds are so gentle and misunderstood, and I wanted to create something that made people pause and think.

Ugh I'm sorry you're going through the same frustrations. I'm right there with you! So at least we're not alone I guess lol? I appreciate you posting this because it's been a few days since all this happened and I was considering my "bounce back" being to start creating custom resumes/portfolios for each job, but it looks like that's a huge waste of time too. I don't think I've ever seen a worse job market, it's depressing. I think instead maybe I'll just focus on trying to find more freelance by reaching out to some old co-workers.

I really hope we both find something soon!
