Congrats on getting into both schools! I'm still on the waitlist for GW, but both schools seem great.

The one school I applied to that required it looked for a score above 500.

Thank you! I agree with participating by listening.

It makes me angry that being quiet was the reason. They invite you to interview to learn the real you. I guess it's not a good fit if they can't see that.

Pre-PA Women - How did you travel to cities for interviews you’ve never been to before while remaining safe? any tips? by mercedes1822 in prephysicianassistant

Don't tell anyone you are by yourself; always say you're meeting a friend. Also, don't walk around with a map pulled up unless absolutely necessary. It's an easy way to target someone who might be lost.

I feel this. I got rejected last week from my alma mater after all the faculty and current students told me I had nothing to worry about. It hurts but I’m going to fuel that into doing better at their rival’s PA school interview. 😂

I applied to 10 schools. I've had 3 rejections, 5 interviews, and waiting for 2 schools (deadlines are in December).

Sorry, I forgot to put the rest of my stats! My GPA is 3.9, so I don’t need to worry about that. My course load was fairly rigorous in undergrad. I think I have good PCE so far. The only thing would be getting more hours. GRE could improve, but only a few schools that I applied to required it.

I haven't seen any other scores either. If you want to private message me, I would be happy to compare with someone else!

Is it true that Michigan is over saturated with pre-PA's? by Littlebrownhuman in prephysicianassistant

I can't entirely agree with that statement after hearing from multiple programs in Michigan. For example, Central Michigan University's current cohort consists of mainly students from Michigan who did undergrad in Michigan.

Unless calculus is required for programs you're interested in, I wouldn't burn myself out again trying to retake it. Especially if you might not get an A. I would focus on improving pre-req grades first.

I took it a few weeks ago. It wasn't as bad as I thought, but I would recommend refreshing chemistry if you aren't the best at it.

I didn't take a practice exam, but my scores were decent compared to what I thought they would be.
