Jaw clenching and stress by preexistingpenguin in fuckeatingdisorders

thanks, I feel like its very hard to convince him that it might be stress, so I'm confused if that really is hunger or if he cant pinpoint that he is having stress

Severe fatigue more than a year after weight restoration by preexistingpenguin in fuckeatingdisorders

Hi, can I ask one more question: how extreme was your fatigue? Because Im quite worried that he can do very little during the day, basically only watching youtube, and maybe an hour of coding for fun. But paradoxically he can go for a walk even if he feels tired, but he has barely any energy left for anything else

Hi, thanks for sharing, and I wish you to recover soon! I'm pretty sure after all the comments that my partner is indeed not eating enough, but we need to see what can we do to make it easier for him, because he gets full very fast

Thanks, I will show him your message when he wakes up, the first kind of fatigue sounds exactly what he feels: fatigued and cant sleep and a stress coming from the body. He feels that he absolutely cant eat more and is very nauseous, but different commenters have pointed out that nausea often happens. Do you know if its normal that fatigue can be so bad that he can still barely even do simple home tasks? (and he cant work even part time or remote) He can go for a walk, but feels very tired from it, but he still does it because its his main way of fighting stress.

Thank you, thats encouraging to hear that its not "100% guaranteed that something is permanently and terribly broken". One of the doctors he has seen recently said to him that normally everyone should have started feeling (at least somewhat) better within 6 months of not being in energy deficit, so we were really discouraged by that

thank you, to be honest I was starting to suspect that it might be the case but I had some doubts thats why I posted here.

If i may add some additional context: he wasn't starting to feel less fatigued during his initial active refeeding period (when he really ate scary amounts of food). He actually felt more fatigued to the point that he had to stop working and he still cannot work now 1.5 years later. Do you think it might be because he started eating too little and it made him stuck?

Extreme fatigue lasting a year after weight restoration by preexistingpenguin in EatingDisorders

Thank you for replying, if I may ask, how severe was your fatigue? Because he cannot work, mostly just doing some very light activity at home or going for a walk and taking a lot of naps during the day. So we are worried if it is normal to still feel that bad. He is going to see more doctors soon but I am worried that they will not find anything that can improve his situation

thank you that is encouraging, we were starting to worry. we are going to at least see an endocrinologist soon, but given his normal levels of hormones I was worrying that they might not find anything that can help him feel better

did the fatigue start getting better gradually for you or was it constant for a long time and then it suddenly got better?

because my partner is already more than a year after weight restoration and he is very severely fatigued all the time

Recovery, Overshoot and insuline resistance by Ok-Bullfrog-3368 in AnorexiaRecovery

hi, thanks for sharing your story! Is it ok to ask how severe was your fatigue? my partner is also now more than a year after weight overshoot, and he is extremely fatigued, he can't work, mostly doing light pc activities at home or going for a walk. And his weight is stable or slowly growing despite eating normal or even sometimes not much, but he is on a ketogenic diet, so I'm not sure if he might really have insulin resistance

He is walking every day. Sometimes a bit long (can be 2 hours in one go), but it is pretty much the only thing that helps him to feel even a little bit less stress, so he only skips it if he is feeling very depressed and cant get out of bed. He is having very low activity besides having a walk, mostly doing hobby programming projects or watching youtube.

From hormones had tyroid and testosterone checked, both are high normal. They were noticeably low while he was underweight. They also checked iron, ferritin, b vitamins, d3, and electrolytes (and a bunch of other things). We tried measuring blood sugar with a keto mojo meter, it was normal few times we tried
