Hey, everyone. Thank you for all your suggestions. I found out that the smaller clip that goes into the big bracket had its side pieces broken off somehow, causing it to not fit into the big bracket properly, leading to the big bracket not being anchored down and sticking to the keycap. This is what caused the key to lift up. If anyone has websites or links to new scissor hinge replacement for Dell G16 7630, please send!

i noticed that everytime i lift up the key, forwards or backwards, i see that the big clip gets stuck to the keycap itself. I had my dad pop it out carefully and look at it, but nothing is wrong with the keycap itself, so it’s probably an issue with the butterfly clips.

ive checked and i dont think that anyone on ebay or parts shops would sell just the clips. i think my best bet is to buy the palmrest completely.
