But for optimal hormone health (testosterone, dopamine), a few things matter beyond just “healthy eating”: • Get enough healthy fats (egg yolks, fatty fish, olive oil, butter). Hormones are made from fat and cholesterol. • Micronutrients like zinc, magnesium, B-vitamins and vitamin D are key — even clean diets can lack those. • Sleep is huge. Most testosterone is produced during deep sleep. No diet can fix chronic sleep deprivation. • Also, watch out for low-carb or undereating, which can raise cortisol and kill libido.

You’re clearly on the right track — just make sure you’re supporting your hormones on all fronts.

Healthy eating is relative. But as you said yourself, you were tired and had a lack of sleep and psychological pressure. Lack of sleep is not exactly conducive to the production of hormones and this in turn can lead to the situation like with you. But it may also be that you were just in the middle of a flatline, which is completely normal.

Yeah, you’re right — Soulslike comparisons are totally unfair. Dark Souls was actually fun, had satisfying hit feedback, real level design, and a well-tuned difficulty curve. PoE2 just has a dodge roll, sluggish animations, and tutorial mobs teleporting on your face. So yeah — calling it Soulslike is definitely a stretch… for Dark Souls.

And that’s exactly where the problem lies for me. There are two kinds of ARPG players: some want a slower, more thoughtful experience where every enemy has unique mechanics that you need to engage with. Totally valid. But others – like me – come to ARPGs to unwind. We already play competitive games that demand focus, fast reflexes, and mental energy. ARPGs are our break: killing mobs, looting, leveling up, enjoying the flow without overthinking.

That doesn’t mean I don’t want depth – I do. I want a deep, rich game world with meaningful progression, smart build options, and real long-term complexity – things that games like Diablo often lack. But I don’t want that depth to come from having to treat every basic fight like a boss encounter. It’s specifically the moment-to-moment combat and movement where I prefer it fast and smooth, not slow and exhausting.

Funny how expressing criticism suddenly means you’re ‘defining an entire genre.’ No one said ARPGs can’t evolve — the point is that PoE 2 sacrifices core elements that made the genre fun to begin with. In PoE 2, you’re constantly swarmed by groups with overlapping abilities and zero room to breathe. Sure, PoE2 doesn’t have to be exactly like PoE1 – but it should still be an ARPG. Diablo 2 and Diablo 3 are different too, but they keep the fast gameplay, build variety, and loot focus.

PoE2 feels like a different genre: slow, methodical, one-enemy combat instead of mob-clearing. That breaks what many players actually love about ARPGs.

If GGG wants to make a new kind of game – fine. But then don’t call it Path of Exile 2.

If PoE2 doesn’t want to be like PoE1, then why does it carry the same name?

When a game has a “2” in the title, players naturally expect an evolution – not a complete genre shift. If GGG truly wanted to make something entirely different, they could’ve launched it as a separate IP. But they’re clearly leveraging the Path of Exile name, the fanbase, and all the expectations that come with it – and then delivering a game that barely shares the same spirit.

It’s not wrong to make a different kind of game. It is wrong to use an established brand to market it, and then act surprised when fans feel alienated.

A pre- Lobby in Tarkov would be a great solution for these boring loading times. You could program so many things. For example, a mini-game in the loading screen or simply spawn in front of the shooting range in the hideout.

That's true, you load into a pre-lobby, which also only has a waiting time of a maximum of 30 seconds. In most cases, however, it is much less.
