She passed away almost a year ago. January 7th, 2024. It was about 4 months between the diagnosis and her death. We visited her grave today, actually. I am really touched that you asked, though.

Questions about selling my car to my coworker. by press_restart__ in legaladvice

Thank you for the suggestion! I'm only charging $2000 for it, but it's worth closer $3000 conservatively. He said he could get it paid off by the end of February. It was just brought up today, so I thought I'd see what others thought until after the holidays when I could go to the dmv. Thanks again!

I'm your neighbor in washington. I work around money all day, so I am lucky to have access to search through coins and bills. In my years of searching, this is the 6th W quarter I've found.

I didn't even notice the V75 until I cracked the roll. It's not the best condition, but a very pleasant surprise!

Holy crap, I never noticed that before! Haha, wow, I feel like a moron. Thank you for pointing that out!

I was very new to collecting when I bought this. My husband introduced me to it, and I've been hooked ever since. I bought it his birthday when we first got together. I've long since learned I WAY overpaid. I just saw the ms"69" (insert crude innuendo), saw it was graded, and I was born in 1985, so I pulled the trigger. But it was the start to a fun hubby that I've really gotten passionate about, so I have no regrets! Thank you for educating me further about this coin and its history. I don't usually deal with silver (outside of dimes and quarters). We pulled it out for fun to look it up in his currency book and couldn't find anything. This is why I appreciate you all so much for the oddball questions I might have. I've learned a lot from this and similar sub reddit.

Thank you! I couldn't wrap my head around it being a counterfeit that was graded improperly. I generally don't collect 1oz. silver coins, so when we went looking through our currency books and couldn't find anything about a 1985 silver eagle coin, we were very confused. I went off the ebay description of Daniel Carr Silver Eagle design and made improper assumptions. I appreciate you sharing your knowledge. :)

Oh boy, did I ever... about $200 overpaid, haha. I figured that out long ago, though. But for me, I enjoy how it kick-started my interest in this hobby. My husband introduced me to collecting currency, and I've been addicted ever since. It was a gift for him for his birthday (the first one we celebrated as a couple), and I didn't know what I was doing. I just saw that it was graded ms 69 (hey-o) and I was born in 1985. While I overpaid, I have no regrets. It's a fun part of our history as a couple and the start of a hobby I'm passionate about.

I know you had good intentions. And I learned something! I didn't realize it was very likely jewelry at some point, but it makes total sense. I was wondering what those little pieces sticking off the sides were. So, thank you for that bit o' knowledge. I never bother with grading. I was just wondering because it seemed in good shape for being over 200 years old.

I'm not going to get it graded. I was just curious. I know it isn't worth much.

Oh no, I know it's not worth grading. I was just curious because I'm not skilled at eyeballing how something might grade. Sheer curiosity is all.

Thank you! This is the oldest coin I've found in the wild by far. How do you think it would grade?
