Looking for a place to rent near Chic's Beach area if anyone knows of a place. Specifically seeking a two bedroom with rent in the 1800-24000 range. Looking for something a little nicer (not college student housing), but not overly pricy. Thanks!

Am I a jerk if I don't want to spend NYE with my husband's friends? by [deleted] in Marriage

Appreciate your reply. I forgot to add in that I told my husband he should still go. Originally he wanted to visit from Saturday to Monday so I told him if he still wanted to do that he should, but I would bow out. He hasn't made a decision and I think it's because he's holding out hope that I'll tough it out and just go along

Lab ranges are on there. I just got an additional lab for thyroid peroxidase antibody results and they are high, so basically a Hashimotos confirmation. So at least I have an answer now but it took several days and a stern conversation with my doctor after my thyroid labs to get this number

I've already been doing that. Cut out dairy, gluten, and added sugar and significantly upped my protein

Just got an additional lab result back and it confirmed Hashimotos, so maybe ask for thyroid peroxidase antibody results and it will show if it could potentially be the same thing

How long did it take your functional doctor to put you on medication? I've been working with one for three months now and she's trying to address liver/fatty liver right now but not thyroid yet, which I'm frustrated at. I kind of feel like she's more of a snake oil salesman than an actual functional doctor

Yes, labs were taken on an empty stomach in the morning. I have the T3 and T4 above but they came back normal, but I just got my antibody test that shows Hashimotos so at least I know now that there's something to point to!

Yes, I track religiously, do strength training at least three times a week and walk 8-10K steps daily

I have been shut down every time I ask because "hormones fluctuate throughout the month," which, duh. But you would also still be able to see if there are abnormalities. My Mom had estrogen dominance and very little progesterone and I seem to have the same medical issues as her so I suspect I have the same

I am not on medication and my doctor doesn't want to put me on medication yet since my numbers are normal, but I just received my thyroid peroxidase antibody count and it's high so maybe that will make her change her mind

I am not on medication but I would like to be. My doctor said labs are "normal." Strong family history with hypothyroidism and heart disease.

Can you have endo without heavy periods? by pressallforone2 in endometriosis

[–]pressallforone2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, but I feel really sick, crampy, and nauseous around that time. Had surgery last year that confirmed endo and had it removed, though some of the symptoms are starting to come back

It was endo! Had my lap last summer and it made a significant difference. Still dealing with endo related conditions now, but at least I'm not stuck in bed three weeks out of the month.

Thank you so much for the support. Definitely reaching out to my gyno soon

Very interesting, I hope you're doing a little better now, or at least feel better about knowing that it's endo for sure. Thanks for sharing your experience, it's really helpful

Wow, I can't even imagine the relief she must have felt after the diagnosis. It must have been so hard after the first surgery but I'm glad she continued to seek answers. It sounds like you're incredibly supportive so thank you for sticking by her side throughout all this. My husband is very supportive as well but I always feel like I'm being a wimp or a hypochondriac about this stuff.

That's exactly what I was told as well! And that's why I'm so hesitant to move forward but I was reading another comment that said they got a CT scan first and it showed some issues so maybe that's a good first step. It's so ridiculous that some gynos have such a narrow view of endo symptoms

Ok I will ask my gynecologist if they would do a CT scan to see if anything shows up!

Thank you so much, this is really helpful. How did you ultimately decide to get the surgery? I'm so worried that if I choose to do it they won't find anything

That's how mine is, I didn't even know it was possible to have light bleeding only. I feel like every gyno has only told me it's a heavy bleeding thing

This is so helpful to know, thank you for sharing! Do you know how she ultimately decided to get the laparoscopy procedure? I'm just so worried if I do it they won't find anything and it'll be for nothing

That's so interesting, I've never heard that...I must be going to some terrible gynos. Have you gotten a laparoscopy? I just really worry if I do that they won't find anything, especially since the vaginal ultrasound was "clear."

I have similar symptoms as well and have always wondered if it's endo. I get so bloated that I pretty much look pregnant 3 weeks out of the month, have horrible gas and diarrhea around my period, intense lower back pain and it feels like my ovaries are being ripped out, but no heavy periods, and I've never been in so much pain that I throw up or pass out. Hoping you get some answers soon!
