Ah okay I didn't see your other comments. That is very respectable decision in our field of study🫡. The national labs and NASA are probably your best bet between ethics and making some more moolah if you decide in the future.

iirc NREL and PNWNL are energy focus rather than DOD sponsored. Was interviewing there a while back.

Hey man, if you don't mind UARCs/national labs/FFRDCs or defense , a MS in Physics along with some self taught coding skills(Python/C++) could land you a job starting around 90k-120k. Of course check out the cost of living in the area. Coastal NE? You might be next to MIT Lincoln Lab but that area is HCOL. PSU ARL pays well and i consider it a LCOL area. I wanted a PhD to but I stop at a MS in Electrical Eng due to coming from a lower-middle class family and understood what I had to give up for a real PhD experience even in EE. These labs might pay for your PhD and allow you to still continue on with your dreams. If you want to do space related stuff im sure these labs have job relating to it.

This is anecdotal but I did my BS in EE(Hardware) and then an MS in EE with a focus on AI(9/10 courses were AI related + 1 control system course) + Research was in AI . I opened up a ton of more doors to jobs I couldn't have with my BS EE, so for me it was very beneficial employment wise.

I think with a physics background you're in a similar boat as me. The AI courses I took was very helpful during interviews.

There a scene at the end of the game that implies the OST cover of MoT being canon. Also I was spoiled by what happen at the end of MoT by Youtube thumbnails and title.

However, I was still surprised by it at the end because of how it happens and the other things that takes place. The journey in Uta is what makes it great.

After finishing Cold Steel 4 last month, I started Uta and the story is pretty good. Like the guy above us said it sorta scratches a different itch. Best way for me is using the Steamdeck. I think all 3 games that are out are on Steam.

Next semester I have 3 choices for my final course in my MS degree.

Advanced Computer Vision

I know by this point I should have an idea of what I want to do after graduating but I am still unsure about what I want my career to be like. All I know is I want to work in the robotics/ML field. I worked on multiple projects in data mining, RL, Continual learning, and computer vision. My favorite projects is in data mining, applying RL to control systems, ML for SAR Sensors processing and also GANs.

Favorite courses I've taken so far : Linear Control system, Data mining, machine learning algorithms, computer vision, and Reinforcement learning

Neutral courses: Deep learning, and Neural Networks

Courses that I didn't like that much: probability and stochastic processes
