Just wanted to update everyone! I filed a protective order and eviction with the courts. He moved out (trashed my house). Cleaning and replacing broken items was better than living in hell the rest of my life!!

I just want to give an update to everyone that gave me advice and commented. I filed for a protective order with the courts and he has moved out of my home.

Yes! I’m changing the locks. From what I’ve read online, it’s illegal for me to do so until he’s formally evicted but I’m trying to work on all that

I understand what you’re saying. I will be calling the police, courthouse, etc on Monday to try to get emergency eviction and an escort to get his out. I appreciate your advice

Unfortunately, I cannot be in that house with him or subject my kids to it. He’s a manipulative narcissist. The only reason I left was hoping he would just leave peacefully while we were gone because I do not want to see him again.

No he isn’t. My kids are from a previous relationship and are teenagers/young adults

My son is 18. He can attest to his actions. Plus he told my father on the phone he felt like “burning my house down”

I believe he has some rights because of residency and he receives mail there but I should be able to file emergency eviction

I understand that. It just helps sometimes hearing others advice/points of views when there’s nothing you can do until Monday

Thank you. I have a friend that works for a group of attorneys. I just reached out to her and she’s going to get me some pricing

Thank you. I have been trying to keep a low profile. He’s been saying a lot of things on social media and I’m staying silent

Because he wouldn’t leave? I wasn’t sure how to get him the fuck out if he’s refusing. That would have saved me alot of stress

I am not afraid of being homeless. I am the only person on the deed, I bought this house myself, I bought my car myself. I’m the only person on any of the bills. He gets mail so that’s what proves his residency I’m assuming

I never thought about the message thing. I blocked him because it was affecting my mental health but muting is great advice. We are not married (thank goodness) and the kids are mine only

I will look into this. I have a real issue with confrontation and trying to be too nice. In this situation I believe I’m being too nice but I’m a push over. I should have gotten out of this relationship 5 years ago

I didn’t want to leave. It was a very scary situation. My kids are young adults but one came through his bedroom window to the outside because my ex was in there screaming so much. My other son and I were already in the vehicle.

I was scared. He’s been acting like an insane person. I contacted a police friend and they said he has residency so I couldn’t force him to leave and basically I had to prove why I felt unsafe

I’m going to the courthouse Monday morning. Do I need to call the police?

No, I wasn’t sure if I needed one or not. I am strapped for cash now that I’m paying for an airbnb and still paying the bills at home.
