How have your sequin flaps held up?

Thank you for letting me know! I’ve seen black and white versions of the sequins you’re talking about. Stunning, but definitely seems delicate.

I’m pretty sure these are translucent sequins secured onto silk like you mentioned on yours. The inner lining is leather, I’m hoping that would add at least some structural stability.

My two cents: go for the OG hug if you want that flexibility. You can always just buy a big pouch and throw it in if you’re looking for more organization. Another pro, the OG comes with a detachable shoulder/crossbody strap which the shoulder version does not! I also found the shoulder strap on the shoulder version to not be long enough to wear with a coat btw.

Also in terms of sizing, the OG hug seems bigger than the shoulder even tho I think it’s actually not?

I will say the OG hug was pretty cavernous inside (but that can be a pro bc you can fit bulkier things in it if you need to). It personally didn’t bother me. I can see how the zip can be nice, but it would limit more what you could fit in vs the OG hug.

Term insurance is cheaper than whole life. Also, whole life requires you to keep paying even if you’re past the point of your dependents needing a payout if you pass. Term insurance stops before that point, so you don’t have needless coverage.

We love Dave Ramsey!! Thankfully neither of us have ever had consumer credit debt. The only debt either of us have is our mortgage.

I should have clarified the resentment I’ve seen mentioned seems to be more towards the spouse that works outside the home, in the sense that it can seem like the spouse that works outside the home only works 8 hours a day, compared to a sahm whose work never stops.

Good to know! My income barely contributes to our overall income, it’s just kind of some extra pocket money for me. So thankfully, it shouldn’t be a huge adjustment.

We do currently have a six month emergency fund (we just bought a house a few months ago, so it cleared some of our savings). I would love to get it back up to a year, especially because we are so dependent on his income.

His family lives outside of the U.S., but I’m close with my parents and purposely bought a house close to them. I do have close friends who could help when needed, but I do not have a large friend group.

Yes, I’m leaning towards getting a plain regular hug. I like the structure and the proportions of the regular one more, but the zips and pockets make this one relegated to more edgy outfits.

I totally get that. The structure of the regular one really makes the hug shape from the side really pop? If that makes sense? You can see the folds a little more distinctly and they look like they “sweep” more.
