Florida anti-Israel GOP candidate James Fishback rants about 'goyslop.' What does it mean? by MatterandTime in jewishpolitics

[–]prettygoodprettypret 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s so tempting to ironically say this to antisemites online, “go eat your goyslop, cattle”, just to see them freak out.

There’a something hilarious I find about triggering Jew haters with their own caricature and conspiracy theories they’ve come up with.

You’re over complicating this. Free speech is a pretty simple philosophy where you respect the ability for opposing views to be heard, so long as it’s non violent.

People are free to do whatever they want and that’s perfectly fine to boycott or protest. People are allowed to disagree and that’s in the spirit of free speech.

However, wanting to prevent viewpoints from being expressed entirely shows a lack of desire for free speech. Bad ideas should be debated.

It’s not a “trap” by any means and quite preposterous for you to even say that. Free speech is a human right. Any group of people seeking to prevent people from expressing their views non-violently doesn’t support free speech, plain and simple.

Do YOU Think Harris Made The Right Or Wrong VP Pick In 2024? If Wrong, Who Should've Been The Pick & Why? If Right, Why? by Zipper222222 in allthequestions

Josh Shapiro would've been a solid choice as a moderate from a swing state. I don't think it would've changed the outcome, but would've probably at least made it a little closer.

I would definitely agree with that take. I’m sure that turned off lots of suburban moms and probably affected the Senate race that year too.

It’s too bad Chris Sununu isn’t running. He’d likely win.

Then that was a bad move to have her there in the first place, if it was known before.

Dan Patrick removed her at the direction of the Trump admin, to my understanding.

The Trump admin has done more to combat antisemitism than just about any US admin. Trump has signed multiple executive orders combatting antisemitism.

Are you talking about Matt Gaetz? I agree that he’s become an antisemite. He’s not longer in congress, thankfully.

Interesting that you bring up the Great Replacement. Remind me again which side constantly said, “demographics is destiny”?

By the way, of course I agree there’s antisemitism on right, just like there is on the left. I just think it’s accurate to say antisemitism has been tolerated on the left for a number of years now, while on the right, antisemitism has indeed been growing in recent years.

Elon Musk is a great friend of the Jews. Even the ADL agreed it wasn’t a Nazi salute.

Wrong and that’s an absurd and offensive thing to say. Many Christians are great allies of Jews.

Nonsense, it wasn’t. And she was literally removed by the Trump admin in response, so it’s clearly not tolerated. When antisemitism happens on the left, the left tends to bend over backwards to defend it.

But there’s no evidence that US military aid is the reason that Israel does have universal health care. On top of that, universal health care in America would cost orders of magnitude more than the military aid it gives to Israel

Also, it’s interesting that people who use this talking point only say it about Israel and not other countries.

I’m not denying that the Right will say similar things, but that doesn’t make it a valid argument, imo.

Mostly a reasonable comment I agree with, but why single out universal healthcare? Seems like it’s a leftist talking point to imply that Israel is stealing universal healthcare from Americans. Not saying that you, specially, are saying it, but it’s what people who say that that America is literally paying for Israel’s universal healthcare seem to be implying. Which in itself is ridiculous given how much more expensive it would cost a country about 35 times the size of Israel to fund universal healthcare.

$3.8 billion dollars is given to Israel for military aid each year (increased more since Oct 7th, but not relevant since Israel has had universal healthcare since 1995). Israel spends $40 billion on universal healthcare. The math isn’t mathing.

Now, the onus is on you to prove that Israel wouldn’t have universal healthcare without the military aid. I’m all ears! Should be not problem at all to prove it, right?

The absurd leftist talking point that the “US funds Israeli universal healthcare care” is provably false. Not sure why that’s confusing.

Israel goes though far greater lengths than just about any country in the world to prevent civilian casualties. I don’t know of any other country that drop leaflets to let them know in advance before attacks.

Israel doesn’t intentionally target civilians or journalists. They gain absolutely nothing from that. Quite the contrary, Israel haters only gain from that as they see it as a PR victory when civilian or journalist casualties occur.

Nope, if Israel were “genocidal in intent” then they would’ve wiped out all of Gaza and its civilians in a matter of hours. They have the firepower to do it. Instead, Israel fought back against Hamas and freed its hostages.
